We left off with us going back to CSR and getting ready for dinner.
For those of you that were with me during my PTR, you know that Joe was laid off during the summer. Well, about a week before we left for Disney he was saying how bummed he was that he couldn't do an anniversary surprise. I told him that I didn't care (which I didn't) and that I was glad that we were able to go to Disney after all. He did get a job though, like two days before we left! Yay! Anyway, he had NO CLUE what I had been up to before we left. I had started to squirrel away money for some time to plan for this surprise.
We got dressed and headed over to the GF. Mom was having dinner with Jenn and her family at 1900 PF that night and Joe and I were going to the GF Cafe. We met Jenn and her family in the lobby of the GF and mom went with them while we made our way over to GF Cafe. Jenn and John and the kids got Joe and I this beautiful Disney photo frame...the one where you can put about a dozen pictures in. It was awesome! We loved it. What was funny was that we were looking at the same one the day before when we went to get Jenn and John an engagement gift.
Originally I chose that location because of the surprise I had planned and for no other reason. I am SO GLAD that I did because the food was incredible. It's now a must do for us.
We started off by sharing the shrimp appetizer. It was delicious.
We both had the steak which was really, really good. Our server was fabulous as well. Very attentive.
Funny story...here we were sitting in a rather nice place and at the table behind us was this family with a teenage girl that was so obnoxious, it wasn't even funny. I thought that Joe was going to jump out of his skin. She was chewing with her mouth open and sitting Indian style on the chair. It drove him nuts! I was worried because he kept complaining to me about it and I didn't want him to rush our meal. Little did he know we had time to kill!
We ended up splitting a dessert. I tried to tell him that we didn't "need" dessert. Little did he know what we had coming!
Sorry, no food porn of this meal.
We left GF Cafe and headed over to 1900 PF to wait for mom, Jenn and the rest of Jenn's family. Joe and I saw three brides while we were sitting in the lobby of the GF. They were all very beautiful. I just love weddings....
Once they were done with their meal, Jenn and I had to stall them...for like 2 hours! Mom was in on this and nearly blew it at dinner. Jenn had not told her family anything about what we were doing! We are evil, aren't we?
I had told Joe that I wanted to watch Wishes from the beach of the GF. I had no freaking clue where the beach was but I told him that I wanted to take our time so that I could take pictures of the grounds.
We then made our way to the Marina.
We were looking at all of the boats that they were preparing for the Wishes Cruises that night! Yep, that was my surprise!!! I booked a Wishes Cruise for our anniversary! We were trying to waste time hanging around there and Jenn went up and talked to one of the boat captains to get the scoop so to speak.
I had ordered a cake from the GF Bakery to be delivered. It was a white almond cake with amaretto mousse filling and buttercream frosting along with fondant on top of that. I didn't see the cake. I started to freak. Joe could not figure out why the heck we were hanging around the Marina when we said we were going to the beach.
I took more pictures in an effort to distract him.
But....I couldn't take my eyes off THIS!
We couldn't check in until 10 til 8. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
