So I had all these great intentions of doing a TR for a trip we took with 15 friends - even did a few PTR entries and wrote up our first day. And then somehow the thread got closed (I think by accident because I didn't write anything controversial! And it was right after I wrote 2 back-to-back entries and no one ever responded... I was developing a complex that no one on the DIS loved me! Then I realized that it was closed and that's why no one could respond. So I'm going to at least pretend I still have some DIS friends!
)
Anyhow, I know I could have asked to have it re-opened, but I sort of lost the steam to write. But one of our friends on the trip put together pictures, videos, and a song of our trip and I think it sums up pretty darn well.
Here's a YouTube link to our video...
(We drew our inspiration from the Wolf family's music video they did on their trip to Orlando.)
Some background...
On our trip were 4 families - 9 adults and 6 kids ranging in age from almost-2 to 13 years old. We're all really good friends and consider ourselves family (and two of the gals really are sisters!). I couldn't ask for a better group of friends and I feel so blessed that we were able to share an experience like WDW with one another. And the best part - we were still talking at the end of our trip! And we're planning another big traveling party for this next summer, with plans to head out to Yellowstone with even more friends.
We thought long and hard about what song to pick for our vacation and we new we wanted it to have Disney ties. One of the girls in the group brought up Hannah Montana's song "It's All Right Here." After listening to it, we thought it had the right amount of energy and the words worked and had lots of potential.
So then it was our job to learn the words. So that meant listening to the song lots and lots. Good thing I had a long solo road trip because I think DH would have jumped out of the car after listening to it as much as I did! I was taking my job to learn those words seriously!
We had a fabulous time that week - for me, DH, and DS it meant our first trip home to AKV as we purchased a resale DVC contract this winter. Us and 2 other of the families stayed at AKV and 1 family stayed at POR. The POR family could only stay 5 of the 7 nights as they recently moved out of state and their new school started the day we were planning on come home. You'll see in the video them being begged to stay (he's not proposing as it may appear!) So this trip was also a reunion of sorts and it was wonderful to spend time with them.
Anyhow, check out the video if you'd like to see our vacation condensed into 5 minutes! Hope you enjoy it!! I'm so thankful for our friend that put this together - I know I'll be watching for years to come with a great big goofy grin on my face!
