In all seriousness what would you count as a definitive source? All I was pointing out is that the "fluff website" did source the content they were using. I mean if we are going to discount every single source out there - then what is the point of discussing anything?

I went back and check and never posted that the NYT was a "definitive source"

Oh I see - so it is the papers fault that someone in Bush's administration leaked the information. I'm sorry what is it about personal responsibility that you conservatives are always so willing to talk about? How about blaming who is really to blame for the leak - THE PERSON ON THE INSIDE! and not the paper that reported the possible illegal activity taking place in the whitehouse. Or would that just be to darn easy?

Not to mention the Whitehouse knew that the NYT was working on this story - but I won't bother to source that information because you'll probably dismiss that as well.

Seriously if I was as dismissive as you are of information I'm not sure how I would get through a day.

I'll be happy to answer this one, see I am not a Republican (even if my voter registration card says so, I pick that so I can vote in the primary and often I do vote for Republicans) and I am not a Democrat. I am a Libertarian. I want the government to stay out of my life, please. I am all for gun ownership. In fact I love to go shooting.

I'm not big on guns but I have no problem with gun ownership since it is protected by the 2nd ammendment.

I haven't read even half of these threads (yet), my apologies but I think that Victoria Toensing's Op Ed piece in today's Wall St. Journal; Terrorists on Tap, highlights the reasons that FISA is ill equipped to handle today's terrorists threats. Anyone have the link??

I'll be happy to answer this one, see I am not a Republican (even if my voter registration card says so, I pick that so I can vote in the primary and often I do vote for Republicans) and I am not a Democrat. I am a Libertarian. I want the government to stay out of my life, please. I am all for gun ownership. In fact I love to go shooting.

My DH has a shotgun that he uses to go shooting. I've considered going with him and his friends some time, but they get up so dang early to do it! I'm not a morning person.

What you've lost isn't anything tangible; it's not something you can see.

Just because your rights haven't been violated as of yet, doesn't mean that they won't be or that they can't be. It's the potential for abuse (legal abuse) that's kind of scary.

So you aren't worried because it is not affecting YOU personally, yet. In time it will. This is a slippery-slope trading privacy for security, where does it end? When it affects all Americans? By that time we will have no way to fight back.
