A thought for the Day

Why should I fear death? If I am, death is not. If death is, I am not. Why should I fear that which cannot exist when I do?

Faith is that quality which enables us to believe what we know to be untrue.

Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.

"Many scientific explanations have been so thoroughly tested and confirmed that they are held with great confidence. The theory of evolution is one of these well-established explanations. An enormous amount of scientific investigation since the mid-19th century has converted early ideas about evolution proposed by Darwin and others into a strong and well-supported theory. Today, evolution is an extremely active field of research, with an abundance of new discoveries that are continually increasing our understanding of how evolution occurs."

Laws mandating voluntary prayer in the public schools are unnecessary. Moreover, were the state to mandate such prayer, it would be no longer genuinely voluntary ... Devotional exercises to cultivate and nurture the religious faith of young people do not belong in the schools, but in the home and the church.

I've occasionally stopped by this thread, and once in awhile posted here (although I've since deleted those replies).

I don't think I'll ever click on this thread ever again.

It's not so much the words of any of you, really, that I've found so disheartening. It's the "pattern" I sense of...I dunno. I'm tired, and I can't think of how to express my disappointment. Perhaps this thread still serves a constructive purpose for some-maybe even many-of you. Anymore, it mostly just saddens me in so many ways. :( :( :(

I hope each and every one of you who post and/or read this thread has a great day tommorrow. :sunny: :sunny:

don't let EROS posts get you down..;)
Just ignore them like everyone else...

LOL, SHEP:) :) :). You've confirmed my suspicion that I've had a limited readership on this thread;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) .........

We Love ya EROS..
You're one of our most prayed for people...;)

It seems some posts have recently disappeared. Lest anyone think my words were directly in response to EROS' posts on this thread, I will simply say that such is not the case.
I was well aware of that... I was not trying to delete my posts to make it seem as such... I chose to delete what I wanted because I felt what I chose was not the best of what I could say. With that I will say I wish you all the best and it will be a cold day in hell before I post on this thread again.

Thanks, SHEP:) .

Somehow I DON'T think that the prominent posters to this thread generally pray for my SOUL:)

Instead, they think of me as a TROLL:) :)

(CAN I Rhyme, or what????:p )

SHEP, I feel deeply hurt:( :( .........How's this???......It even has a nice message:D:D:D........

There's a neat little clock,

In the schoolroom it stands,

And it points to the time

With its two little hands.

And may we, like the clock,

Keep a face clean and bright,

With hands ever ready

To do what is right.

Much better post than some of the others EROS...:)

Before I begin, let me just say that I am not speaking to any particular individual at all. Just a belief of mine that I hope will be respected.

This particular thread has been a blessing in so many ways to several people. That must be remembered.

As a Christian, I also believe in the existance of Satan. I believe that the Lord allows evil in the world for many reasons, one of which is so that we would know how good God is. I'm sure some of you think that warped, but who am I to question God.

I also will not return to this thread because I believe that there is evidence that this is not what God had in mind, nor did the original poster of it.

I will forever be grateful for the inspiring, positive words that were spoken here by truly wonderful people. I hope to live by many of them.

Please all accept my apology for last night's comments. I was hurt and I was harsh. I should have thought and responded with my head but I did so with my heart. I also need to apologize for all I have done on this thread. I had my reasons and while some may not agree with them, they made sense to me at the time. I realize I was wrong to do so and I truly feel awful for taking this thread in a direction it didn't need to go.

I don't know if I will ever be able to post like I used to, but there are many here full of wonderful thoughts that hopefully will be a comfort to many. I do hope that all here will be kind to one another and be respectful of each other. This is a place of comfort, not a place to hurt each other. Remember that when posting a thought and I am sure this thread will be beautiful.

We'll miss you, CRB#33 and Helenabear:(:(:(. I wasn't aware that GOD was determining the content of CB threads.

I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires.

I challenge us today to make a positive difference in someone else's life. Look around you. People need a kind word and a genuine smile. People need to know that they are accepted and cared for. People want to be loved. And as you reach out to someone else today I know you will be touched and you will recieve more than you expected.

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life."
