A "Thank You" to the UK

In these troubling times with Iraq and terroists, I just have to get on this board to say "thank you" to all those in the UK for caring. I know this is a touchy subject both here in the US and the UK, but your government and people care enough about the situation continue to have an open mind and debate the issue. I have had the opportunity to watch your parliment at work on C Span, and I find it open, honest, and caring about the situation. I don't know how else I can say thank you for being good friends and allies.

PS Love visiting with UK citizens at WDW. Lots of fun to be with

I second everything the previous two posters have stated. I just pray that our leaders/generals know what they're doing. Must admit to being a little quesy.

I love watching the House of Commons. Your politicians debate, ours pontificate.

I think we're all a little queasy at the moment Steph...and I'm sure there are DIS members with families in the military, my thoughts are with them too.

And, without wanting to upset anyone's views, I also feel for the women, children and men who live in Iraq and do not neccesarily support the regime - but are trapped facing it's consequences.

Sad times, lets hope for a speedy resolve for all concerned.

I would like to add my words of support too for the US, UK and other coalition servicemen and women along with their families too in these worrying times.

I am glad that Parliament rose to the occasion and gave them the moral support that will be so comforting to have in the days ahead.

Troubling times indeed ... let's pray for wise decisions to be made by our leaders and for a speedy resolve.
