A Surprise Spring Break Trip filled with Fun and Sun!

Oops, thought I replied to this last night. Guess not. Love all those Toy Story photo ops. Very fun! And great job on the Chip drawings. That has to be one of my new favorite attractions.

I want to meet you girls at Disney! My guys don't want to draw with me at all!

Great pics, especially with the kids!
:goodvibes

More stuff we haven't done! I am hoping to get into the Animator's Studio in the summer-I think my oldest daughter would like it, but I'll have to see if we can fit it in. We are only going to DHS for one day on our trip. I think the Buzz and Woody meet and greet area looks cool, too. I have seen it on another TR, and it seems like it would be fun. But, again, I have to think about time-we usually leave DHS by 3 or 3:30 in the afternoon, and our DHS day is the same day I have a date planned with DH at night. I am thinking I might have to add in an afternoon at DHS on another day...

I hope you have a Happy Mother's Day! :lovestruc

I think we should plan a DIS meet for the summer! What do you think? We could meet at Lynnhaven and go to the Disney store, or we could meet at Busch Gardens. We could even meet at a park or something so the kids could play. School gets out in just over a month...

Hey! That was a great post! Love the photos at the Buzz and Woody photo pass shoot -- my guys totally loved clowning around in there! I couldnt get them to take a picture (well not both anyway!) BUT it was great fun in line!

I like the Animator's place too! :thumbsup2

Thanks HappyDog!! I like the lines like that where there is something to do! Too bad you couldn't get photos of the boys!
Animation Academy is great fun for sure. Cool in the summer too!:thumbsup2

Great update! :thumbsup2 I'm definitely going to have to check out the Toy Story photo op thing this May---it looks really cute!

Thanks Michelle! The Toy Story place is really cute and a great addition to Pixar Place. I wish they had more of the characters in there. Maybe this summer with the movie. 13 days for you!!!!

Thanks on the Chip drawings. I can't draw but in there they make it easy. Ellie loves to draw and does quite well for her age, I think!

We would LOVE to meet you for a drawing class!:goodvibes If only our summer trips overlapped...we're sooooo close missing by just a day, I think.:sad2: Maybe at Christmas!:thumbsup2

Happy Mother's Day to you too!:flower3:
I think you should definitely squeeze in Animation Academy. The Toy Story place is fun but the line was long. I know if we had to choose, it would definitely be the drawing. I know it's hard when you have only 1 park day.

I am totally up for a DIS meet!:thumbsup2 When do you guys finish school? Kids here get out on Friday, June 18th but I have to work on Monday and Tuesday...:sad2: Then we leave for Disney Wednesday! Once we get back we can talk and get something lined up. It'll be so much fun!!:goodvibes

Great update Stacy! I love all the props in the line to meet Buzz and Woody, so cute!

I noticed the roped off area for the drawing class for the first time in December, but the people inside don't have any special priority or anything, they just got there first. Once they have enough people to fill all the seats, they close off that waiting area and the people outside are on standby. If the standby people don't get into the next class, they can wait in the roped off area for the one after - hope that makes sense, I feel like I sorta rambled a bit there!

Yay for riding RnRC, it's one of my absolute favorites! If you get your DH to try it again, tell him to keep his head back during take off, that helps prevent knocking your head around :thumbsup2

Finally, I have to agree with your DH on Star Tours - it makes me feel  too, and it's not the motion of the ride, it's watching the screen. I go on with my boys because they love it, I just keep my eyes closed for most of it and I'm fine.

Thanks for the info on the drawing class Michelle! The CM told some others that those people had "priority" so I was wondering what that was for. Your explanation makes much more sense!!

John has ridden RNRC twice so I doubt I'll get him on it again. Which, honestly, is fine until Ellie is brave enough to ride! I know we could do kid swap and such but it's just easier if someone sits out with her and does something else!

Sorry Star Tours bothers you too. He said it's watching the screen too.

popcorn:: I'm not so patiently waiting for some more trip details.

Coming today Michelle, I promise!!
School is killing me. We are in the midst of all our various testing-literacy screening, midpoint 9 weeks and next week is our big state testing. Once that is done I will have a bit more time! By the time you get back, maybe I'll have a couple of updates done!! Only got 36 days to finish it all up anyways!!

I've got family in town this weekend and need to head to Target. After that, an update!!!

We left DHS and headed back to WL for a swim-it was quite hot! The kids really wanted to try Hidden Springs pool and John and I were all for it. It was closer to our room and MUCH less crowded. We easily grabbed some chairs and John went to refill our mugs. We didn't have too much time today so John and I opted to not swim. The kids got right in. Ben enjoyed the springs in the pool.

Ben got out and sat with John and I.
IMG_0328-1.jpg

John passed the time on his phone. He also took this picture of a woodpecker that was behind us.

Since Ben was out of the pool, John took him back to get showered and ready for dinner. I let Ellie swim a few more minutes and then we headed in for her to get ready. We had big plans for the evening! Yeehaw!!

Look at all those empty pool chairs! What I wouldn't have done to have seen that on my trip!

Those pictures of Ben with his shirt all ballooned out are hilarious

After we were all freshened up, we headed down to the boat dock.

IMG_0878.jpg

The boat to MK was there but we weren't headed there so we waited. It was only about 5 minutes when ours came along. Off we went!
IMG_0879.jpg

We were heading to Fort Wilderness for the Hoop-Dee-Do-Revue. I know this gets mixed reviews but we enjoyed it last summer, especially Ben. Ellie had a bit of an upset tummy last summer and was very tired so she was ok with a "do-over".
We got there, got checked in, and had time to kill. We visited the gift shop.

I love the cup on the bottom and will get it in June!
IMG_0885.jpg

I'm not sure if I could spend money on these for Lucky to destroy...
IMG_0884.jpg

Ellie is into these Disney cutie things. She has a Minnie and began trading for the pins on this trip. She'll probably get some more of the figures too next trip.
IMG_0886.jpg

We left without making a purchase and just walked around some more. It was getting close to time to go in so we found a shady spot near Pioneer Hall. Now, Ellie got upset about something here...I think John said something to her...I was in the bathroom and came out to her pouting.:confused3 I was attempting to cheer her up by asking her to show me her bracelet (purchased earlier in the day).
IMG_0893.jpg

Ben being goofy.
IMG_0891.jpg

While we were standing there, a CM came out of the door and was talking to these kids next to us. We weren't really paying attention at first. Then we realized she was trying to get one of them to go and ring the dinner bell. Neither of them would go. She then asked Ellie. I figured, give it up, and hoped she'd ask Ben. Well, determined to make a liar out of me, Ellie agreed to go. Off the CM whisked her up to the front porch to ring the bell. The CM introduced her to the crowd and then showed her what to do. John and I were scurrying to get through the crowd to find a place to take a picture!
IMG_0896.jpg

When she finished, she came down the steps while all the folks were rushing up the steps. It was scary for a minute because I lost her. The CM was at the top, also scared. I think she'd meant for Ellie to wait up there. I found her quickly though, rejoined up with John and Ben, and we headed in. Here's her little certificate. Sadly, I think we left this on the table unless John has it in his bag.

I'm just going to post some pics of the show without commentary. This did not disappoint and I'm glad we went again. Ellie enjoyed it so much more this time. We laughed the whole time. The food is good, not exceptional, but definitely good if you like this sort of meal. For me, it's just good, old fashioned, slapstick fun.

When we were done, we rolled out of there stuffed. We headed back to the boat launch for we planned to end our night with a bang!

Look at all those empty pool chairs! What I wouldn't have done to have seen that on my trip!

I know! We were happy with that pool for sure! I assure you, it was not like that over at the main pool. Ben didn't even go on the slide because of the long line. We barely found one chair that day. Of course, we expected that because it was spring break. It bites that you had to deal with it during a "slow" time.

I think he did it the whole time this day. He swims more another time but still spent a fair amount of time puffing himself up. I think he would then pretend to be some monster or something. The boy is a trip!

Fabulous pictures from Hoop Dee Doo! I've never been interested in trying it, but your photos make me want to go, the kids look like they are having a blast!

We definitely enjoyed the Hoop De Do! The food was "okay" I liked the chicken and the salad, the sides not so much, but the sangria hit the spot, and the entertainment was the real reason for the trip. So that said, we had fun! It looks like your crowd is having fun too :)

Great pictures! The HDDR looks like a lot of fun. Something else we need to try someday!

Thanks for the pics of the HDDR! We're headed there next week---first time for any of us. Hopefully it'll be a lot of fun. :)

Well How-diddly-doodly my friend! I've been in and out so much of late that somehow your TR slipped through the cracks. I'm just now reading your first post & reveal post, but loving it already. I'll be caught up in a bit and shall return! Love the photos so far BTW. Oh, and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for chapter links. I LOVE Those!
