A Surprise Spring Break Trip filled with Fun and Sun!

I'm excited to do Chef Mickey's again in a few weeks. We did breakfast on Brooklynn's first trip and we did Thanksgiving dinner there on our November trip when I was pregnant with Bellarie. We are doing breakfast this summer on the 4th of July. It will Bella's first Chef Mickey's experience.

It's just 9:08 a.m., and you've already packed, checked out of your room, taken a boat to the CR, and finished breakfast! I am very impressed! :worship::worship:

I'm still dragging my bunch to the bus stop at that time!

We ate breakfast at CM this past trip--1st time for breakfast there---and really liked it. Like you said, the characters can't be beat! :thumbsup2

LOL Michelle! Yes, we take advantage of the kids being little and not complaining yet. I'm sure the time will come when they won't want to get up. Well, Ellie is a late sleeper but she'll get up for Disney!! Of course, even as a teen John got up early so maybe my two will take after him!

Chef Mickey's is a favorite for the characters alone!

Great pics of the kids with the characters at Chef Mickey's! What time was your ressie? The two times we have gone we've been there FOREVER and neither time did we see all the characters - CMs is not high on my list of places to return to, but maybe we've just been at bad times. :confused3

Aww Michelle, I am so sorry that you haven't had good luck at CM! That makes me sad because it is such a fun meal. Our ressie was for 8:05 so you can see we were in and out quite quickly. Last summer our dinner time was late...I want to say 8:30 ish but we waited forever to get seated so I know it was after 9. We had great service tho and saw all the characters then too. I do hope that sometime you'll give it a try again!:goodvibes

Aww, last days are always so sad. :sad1: But I love those early morning pictures you got. It looks so peaceful. Chef Mickey's looks like so much fun!

Thanks Sarah! I seemed to get lots of early morning shots that week! Chef Mickey's is a super fun meal!!

Chef Mickey's on the 4th will be fantastic Jill!! I know Bella will love it!:goodvibes

Whew! it was 9 in the morning and you had already done so much! I wish we could work that fasst :rolleyes1

LOL! Trust me Sara, we only work that fast at Disney!!;)

We arrived at our destination.

I was so excited to do some shopping but mostly browsing for our June trip as I didn't have much room for purchases!!

These were the little collectibles that Ellie got a pack of. They're cute but we haven't found a place for them...don't know if she'll get more or not.

MeMom got a pack of those little collectibles on our Mother's Day trip. I'm not sure what she ended up doing with hers.

 I love when people post pics from stores so I can virtual shop!! :) Thanks for helping me pre-spend my money

We left there and headed over to

This was the little dog that Ellie bought earlier in the trip at POTC. She named him Keys.:goodvibes

I wanted a shirt I could wear to work. This was the best I could find but I just couldn't pay the price...maybe I'll find something this time.

Expensive bags that I am coveting...don't know if I'll buy one...

Ellie wanted to get this for her teacher who was (did) getting married in May. We settled on a cute bride and groom magnetic frame...
IMG_1035.jpg

We got the frame, a couple more antenna toppers, a vinyl cling for the car and a couple of other small things that escape me at the moment. I do know that I could've gotten a blanket with my purchase for a cheap price. Man, I wanted that blanket but there was no way it would fit in my backpack and our suitcases were full.:sad2: I got the super huge tote bag instead which did fit in my backpack all folded up. I hoped that the blanket would still be there but I think they've changed the items of the promotion. Oh well, maybe at Christmas.

MeMom got a pack of those little collectibles on our Mother's Day trip. I'm not sure what she ended up doing with hers.

Ooooo, I look forward to seeing which ones she got! I am in love with them myself and am thinking about getting some if Ellie doesn't want to get them. I know they sell shadow boxes and shelves with little cubbies that I think would be good for displaying them.
Also, you can trade them if you get duplicates but only at Once Upon a Toy.

 I love when people post pics from stores so I can virtual shop!! :) Thanks for helping me pre-spend my money

Hi! Thanks for coming over!! I am so glad I could help you pre-spend your money! You can thank MeMom for all the store pictures. I never did that until I started reading her and Jill's TR's. I enjoyed it so much that I started trying to get more pictures in the stores.

On the way out Ellie posed with these lovely ladies. These were the only princesses we saw the whole time.:sad2:

Next we headed to Ben's pick!

Ellie got some dipped marshmallows which will be in some upcoming pictures. Ben and I got frozen cokes-they were very good on such a hot day!
We then caught the bus back to WL and headed to Roaring Forks for a quick lunch before our UnMagical Express pick up.
IMG_1057.jpg

IMG_1058.jpg

We got our bags from bell services and found the bench. I walked around some.

I wished I was getting on this bus instead of the one I was waiting for.

And...that's it! Our trip to the airport and flight home were uneventful. Some nasty storms came up right as we landed and actually messed up my sil's roof and knocked a tree down in their yard. I was so glad we weren't still in the air when those storms came!! We spent the night visiting with them and then left the next morning to come home.

I'm looking for my souvies pictures. I know I took some. I'll post them as soon as I find them!

Great end to your trip. Goofy's Candy Company is a favorite of ours. It's about time to pack those suitcases again. We will see you in just a few weeks!

Here they are!

This was my park bag. I really liked it! I'll probably use this the most this summer but I am also taking a saddle up, mailbag, and my purple baggallini!

Well, that's it! Thanks for reading!! I'm so blessed to be going back in just 11 days. I've got so much left to do for that trip not to mention finishing up the school year.
Thanks again!!:goodvibes

Thanks Jill!
We love Goofy's too! After reading Michelle's (MH Teacher) TR I have had a hankering for an apple. I told John tonight that I wanted to go on the first night and get it so I could take it back to our villa and eat on it all week!

Suitcases...need to work on that. Top of the list for next weekend-well, after Toy Story 3 that is!!

I'm so excited to be meeting up with you guys at OKW!:goodvibes

Seeing other people lined up for park buses is sad when you are waiting with all of your luggage to be taken away from the magic. :sad2:

DTD is a fun way to spend your last hours, though. Get in all that last minute shopping! :cool1:

I haven't done anything with my three mini-collectibles yet. It is good to know that duplicates can be traded in, though. I think I may buy another pack or two before I make up my mind to either collect or not collect them. The three I got weren't terribly exciting, but still kind of fun.

I enjoyed all of this report and look forward to another one soon to come!

last days are always sad, I agree -- BUT I also agree that CP and 1900 Park Fare are better than Chef Mickey's.... characters different of course in each, but the breakfast selections I liked best at 1900 and CP.. It may have something to do with the fact that the AC made the place SOOOOOOO cold, I couldn't concentrate or enjoy my food -- we were all freezing

Great updates and wonderful photos, seems that everyone was disappointed by the Princess and the Frog set up -- and it is surprising that they couldn't get it together to do something better, it isn't like the movie came out that month or something.... I bet it will be much better next year.

I didn't see that you had your final posts!!! SO I will add on here!

Great shots of DTD, there is so much to see there, I want to spend more time catching up at DTD myself... since I doubt we'll be back for the cruise in February... I like the brown D & B purse too!!! Very cute pattern!!!! My guys LOVE those marshmallow sticks... consequently we have a dozen mickey straws!!!! It is sad when the trip ends, but you are very lucky to have two more trips to look forward too!!!! :yay:

Seems like you had a wonderful spring break trip!!! NOW off to catch up with your PTRs!!!

Thanks for taking me shopping this morning at DTD! I love that brown D&B, could it be possible that I need a third one????

Loved your report Stacy, thanks so much for sharing! I'm looking forward to the next one :thumbsup2

We rode the boat over the the Contemporary for breakfast at Chef Mickey's on our last day at Wilderness Lodge, too. I just love the early morning boat rides across the lake.:cloud9:
I think the most memorable part of that meal for us was the man and son sitting next to us who asked that all of the characters take pictures holding up his Pittsburgh Steelers Terrible Towel. It was kind of funny. (This was on our January 2009 trip-The Steelers went on to win the Super Bowl on the very next day. Maybe it was all because of that guy, the Fab Five, and the Terrible Towel!) :rotfl:

Oh goodness! I was trying to get caught up over here and just realized you were DONE!!! I am so sorry that I missed the second half! You are too fast girl! Too fast for my busy life anyway!

Your trip looked fantastic though and I must say that your pictures are really great. They are so crisp and clear!

I loved the hot pink shirt with the black Mickeys embroidered on it!!! Very cute! And I love the antenna toppers! I bought a Minnie head topper on our last trip and went through the car wash and forgot to take it off. I saw it once the car wash had already started, but it was too late. It didn't take long for it to come flying off!!! :scared1::scared1: My DD and I were horrified! Anyway there was a line of cars waiting behind me to get into the carwash, but after it was done, I pulled out and made the line wait for me to go in after it. :lmao: I know the cars behind me thought I was a total idiot, but I had to save Minnie! Thank goodness the carwash didn't start up while I was in there!!! :lmao::lmao:

I really hate that the TR is over. I hope you will do another one with all the trips you have coming up. I really enjoyed it and loved looking at your wonderful pictures! But I'll see you over at Memom's place, I'm sure! Have a fantastic summer break!

Kinda funny that I'm replying to comments about my last day on the night before my first day of the next trip! How lucky am I?? I will have serious withdrawals next year though!

I really love DTD and hope to spend more time there this trip since it is just a boat ride over. I really hope to scoot over there one evening by myself. I think World of Disney will be better if I am not worrying about where the kids are in that madness and I have time to just poke around!:thumbsup2

Yes, you might just NEED that brown one too! I'm still not sure if I will get one. I love my Vera's and even have a new one but gosh, those D&B are just too cute. We ate at Panera bread (do you have those?? upscale sandwich shop) and Ellie saw a lady with the black one with multicolored Mickeys. Good eye my girl has!:thumbsup2

Thanks for reading along Michelle!:goodvibes I do think I'll do a TR for this trip but no more PTR's for me...it's just too much I think!

That's cute about the characters signing the towel. I'll tell my friend-she loves Disney and The Steelers!
The morning boat rides are beautiful. I think the only boat from OKW goes to DTD so I'll have to enjoy an evening boat ride instead!

Hi ya Rinky!! Sorry I finished up but I wanted to be done before I left again!!

I'm so glad you rescued your antenna Minnie! I bet that was a sight to see at the car wash!:lmao:

I think I will do another TR for the summer trip and probably Christmas too...can't get rid of me that quickly! I'm glad we can talk on MeMom's and Facebook now in the meantime!

Any chance you guys coming to Busch Gardens this summer???
