A Surprise fit for a Princess...A Pre-Trip Report

WOW....6 days!! Are you packed yet or are you still waiting? LOL!!;)

Still waiting. I have a packing list all typed up that I'll print out on Friday, because that it is when I'll be packing. I guess my DH will have to pack that evening or maybe I'll have him pack on Thursday evening. Thursday sounds much better. Then, I'll just toss our suitcase under our bed until our DD goes to school on Friday. I'm a very efficient packer and it doesn't take me long at all. I have to try my best to not overpack!!!!

Just found your PTR! Love it so far, your family is beautiful.:goodvibes

It's so interesting that you're a ballet teacher... I'm a ballet dancer myself (starting to get a little rusty now though) and it's so nice to find other people with the same interests!

It looks like you have such a fun vacation planned, and you're so close to departure! I will tell time to hurry up for you.;)

Thanks for reading! I too love finding people who enjoy ballet. I love passing on the art of ballet to my students. I teach at a recreational kind of studio so I like to mix it up a bit. I go back and forth between classical and contemporary pieces. For example: my Int class last year danced to "The Sleeping Beauty Waltz" (complete with white tutus and tiaras) and this year they're dancing to a medley from "Oklahoma".

I brought up at quite a strict ballet school so I never got to do anything like Oklahoma! that sounds like fun!! Looking at the students I grew up with, I'm a little envious of the ones who are pursuing dance full time and doing it professionally but... now I just dance for fun and love going to the ballet.

And also another funny little connection... I work part time at the Gap! Different store, same company!

We should start a "Dancing DISers" club.:cheer2: :dancer: LOL

Meghan, I love those pictures! You are so lucky to have all of them. I only have one from my first trip (1982). It is a polaroid. It is very faded and wont last to many more years. I tell my kids that is why I take so many pictures of them at WDW. So call you Mom Right now and thank her! :flower3:

I'm always grateful for how many pictures my mom has taken at WDW. When I was younger, it got a little annoying, but I'm so happy now. I'll be taken hundreds of pictures on this trip. It's going to be amazing!

Glad to hear you say that, could you tell my children that.
5 days!!!!! Are you bouncy yet?:mickeyjum :hmghost: :tigger: :sulley: :figment: :goofy:

We just returned from our trip -- ok, we returned the 14th, but I'm just now surfacing. It is great to continue to read about your excitement. We were pleasantly surprised by how short our ride waits were. We didn't even need to use Fastpass once. I'm wishing the same for you!

The Surprise Box

4 days! That's how many days until I leave for WDW!!! I don't even know how I'm even functioning right now! Anyways....I wrapped up gift to give to our DD on Saturday morning. I, of course, took pictures to share with all of you. That way, I won't have to stop my DD to take a picture of each "layer". How annoying would that be?? So, here's what she'll be seeing very early on Sat morning:

Here's the box all wrapped up. This is the same paper we used to wrap up her Nintendo DS and DS games. That way, she'll still be thinking it's a forgotten Christmas gift!

The first layer: These 2 items came with her book that we bought her. Bonus gifts! I like that idea!

I bought her 2 new books that she can read on the plane, in the car, etc. She LOVES "The Magic Tree House" series and she adores cats!

Here's the best WDW book for kids I've ever seen! It's so cool!

My parents are picking us up at 5:30am! We'll be waking up around 4 (shower, get dressed, pack up last minute stuff) and then we'll wake her up around 4:45 or 5am.

Thanks! I just wanted it to be nice and simple, but full of surprises! I'm actually going to be packing one of her light up wands. She was Cinderella for Halloween in 2007 and the costume had a very cute light up "sceptor."

I can't take any credit for those boarding passes. I got them on the DISign threads. But they are just too cute for words, aren't they? The weather does look fantastic!!!
