A stripper pole at an office Christmas Party?

My DH is on the Christmas party planning committee at his job. They hired the caterers, picked out the door prizes and that is about it. Hey, it was a tough gig.

This one girl at his job approaches him and asked if they were going to have alcohol this year. He told her that they would be having beer and wine as usual. She then requested that they also get a stripper pole to play on.

I just can't imagine wanting to get drunk and strip for my coworkers. What is wrong with people?

We're not even having alcohol at our Christmas party. I'm still working on that. I can only imagine my boss' face if I asked for a stripper pole! I'd be way embarrassed!!

I have nothing to fear with her. I have met her, and while she seems nice, she is in no way shape or form his 'type'. She is just known as being the weird one in the office. She also enjoys telling people about her love life (which is interesting to say the least) and in a very loud voice.

Once, my DH and her were outside having a cigarette on break. There were a couple of other people there and she was trying to call someone on her cell phone. The person wasn't answering and she was getting aggravated. She then hangs up the phone and basically tells people that she is trying to get a hold of someone so she can get some nose candy. Again, why share that with your coworkers?

Wow, some folks must be having way more interesting parties than we have in my office. Can you actually just rent a stripper pole? Where would you get something like that? I'm just picturing going into the local party rental place and requesting a stripper pole.
