A Sept '10 pre-trip report on how Disney addicts kill time before vacation!

These are great! I wish the kids in our group going this Aug were old enough to do this, sounds hilarious.

You still can! How many kids are going??? I see your kiddo is 5, you guys could have sooooo much fun making a list for the kids - think of all the great photographs you would leave with! You can always think of things like Donald's boat, see if you can drive the boat on JC, play with the cutouts at the Expostition Hall, etc. Granted, the list would be more for the adults, but the kids would be involved!

I'm a HUGE scrapbooker and everything on my list for E are things that have great pics in my head! I can't wait to put our book together from this trip and we're not even close to going! This trip is going to be so full of memories and photographs that I could explode! I may have to take an extra (large) card to make sure I capture it all!

P.S. my lucky charm delivered another money making opportunity for the trip! I'm scheduled to judge at 4-H fairs this summer and my bookings keep growing! 7 and counting!!!

I forgot to mention earlier- we're not doing a scavenger hunt because this is the kids' first trip to WDW and I think we'll be busy BUT in Epcot we are going to try to find a traditional hat in each country and get a pic of the kids wearing it.

I fell into some luck today as I found a Disney scrapbook complete with 20 premade pages and 2 additional pages of stickers for 40% off! It's post-bound so I can add more pages later! Oh the time I have just saved myself.

Now that I have that under control, it's time to start figuring out how to make my brochure look pretty for E.

BTW... any major news? I haven't been on for 48 hours!

I just have to say I adore this thread and can't wait to see the actual trip report and pictures! This scavenger hunt idea reminds me of they days when they still ran the Adventureland Challenge at MK - my sister and I did it and won 10 front of the line passes! (this was 1999 - they stopped doing the Challenge in 2000, I believe)

There was a reference to waking up Tink or summoning Tink earlier in this thread. Just an update - I read yesterday that Tinkerbell's Treasures is now closed. The info about it says it's going to be a BB Boutique when it reopens. Not sure what that means for poor Tink and if she'll get a new location in the existing Fantasyland or if she won't reappear until Pixie Hollow opens after the expansion.

Thanks! This is a super important trip for all of us and anything we can do to have more fun with it the better. I mean, we're awesome and all, but anything else we can throw in the pot?!? Oh yeah! This being E's DBF's 1st trip, the first time she's met ANYONE from my family and the fact we haven't seen each other for 3 1/2 years... oh, it's on!

Does that count as the five stages of grief??? DS has such a crush on Tink and I was kind of banking on Tink's Treasures to visit her vs. fighting the lines at the HoF! His crush on Tink is nearly being overtaken by his crush on Mulan! I really hope we cross her path at either Akershus or the China pavillion.

Speaking of Akershus... are there any regular visitors?

I have more requests from you all! I removed 3 items from my list and need to replace them with even better ideas. I need 1 more for MK, 1 for AK, and 1 for DHS or CBR. I'll PM my list to anyone who wants to see it. I can't post it, it's still a secret for a little longer and I know some of you are just DYING to read it!

I think I just hurt myself laughing! Its not my fault it is a big file. Plus I printed it our fine and you shoudln't need grandma glasses to read it

As to me stinging you... I was only referencing the amazing Disney morals I have and Thumpers mom taught me that. I am sure I quoted the movie perfectly. I even checked with all the peopel in my near vicinity and they too agreed with me. Peanut responded with a double eye blind, which per to her training means, "yes you are right, and still the all knowing being" So with moral nerves eased I posted a correct response to your anti-Disney Moralish ways!

As you wander into Harambe, stand outside the door at the Dawa Bar. You'll swear that you can hear dishes clinking, voices talking, a radio, as well as a persistent knocking. The story is that the landlady who runs the "hotel" above the bar is trying to collect the rent from the delinquent students who live there.

EPCOT:
