From people posts it seems to me at least that Virgin flights are usually running late, they never seem to before.

Are they always running late or no more than anyone else?

Do I need to be prepared for a long wait

You just need a bit of luck that's all, all airlines have delayed flights, Virgin certainly suffer delays too.

If the flight either from or to Orlando is delayed, that will naturally have a knock on effect on the return trip.

I wouldn't worry about it - it's just something that is frustating and outside our control.
