I have never been a fan of seafood. There's something about it that just gives me the heebie jeebies. That said, I've always been able to eat fried shrimp and fish sticks (mmmm...I love me some batter! LOL), but I also load them with either tartar or cocktail sauce to cut the fishy flavor.
Now DH2B and I are trying to lose weight (I guess it's all that fried food!
) and get healthy, and I'd like to be able to have a little bit of variety in our meals other than just boneless, skinless chicken breasts every night (which is the only kind of chicken I'll eat. Who's calling me picky?
). DH2B will eat anything, so I don't have to worry about him, but I'm a little apprehensive about trying to make fish at home. I've never cooked it and wouldn't even know where to begin on how to prepare it. Can anyone offer any pointers and suggest a good fish that isn't too fishy tasting (There's an oxymoron for you!
) or too complicated?
TIA!
