dh gets his hair cut every 3-4 weeks and they take care of it for him at the shop he goes. not like waxing/manscaping, just some trimming, if I understand correctly.
I don't do any reshaping or such. But when I trim my beard I trim my eyebrows with an attachemtn on the trimmer. It lowers the blade to about 1/4 of an inch above the skin. I run this accross my eyebrows and it gets the odd hair that sticks up.
I never had to do this when I was younger but the older I get I have more hair in places I don't want and less hair in the places I do want it.
DH came home from the barber about a year ago and declared that he must be old because the barber trimmed his eyebrows. Now, he does it every time he gets a haircut. DS doesn't have bushy brows but he inherited a unibrow....not from DH He's 10, so I recently talked to him about conservatively plucking. He declined, at this time. Thankfully, DD inherited her Daddy's brows!
When DH made the decision to cut his hair all the way down - zero guard on the trimmer - it was the best thing to happen to our budget. 1, I can now cut his hair myself and save us a ton of money and 2, I get to control exactly how busy both his eyebrows and facial hair gets. He gets a trim when I say so.
Wow. I do trim my mustache and eyebrows every 2 weeks, but I only get a hair cut every 3 months. That hair doesn't grow as fast. My FIL used to get his hair cut every 2 weeks, I think I take off more hair when i shave every morning that he loses in a haircut that often.
As I got older, my eyebrows got bushier and my wife suggested the barber trim them when I got my haircut. Now I give myself a close buzz every 10-14 days and trimming the eyebrows is a regular part of that routine.
