A Princess & her Prince are finally going to Disney!W/PICS! *UPDATED 11/17*

Those may be the bluest eyes I have EVER seen!

I wish I could look this good when I'm half asleep! What kind of mascara do you use? Your eyelashes are amazing!

His eyes are naturally that color. He wears contacts but they are clear. I love his eyes.

Thanks I think that I was just really pumped up to look awake. Thank you! I use Maybelline great lash in the blackest black. It is the cheapie stuff in the pink and green tube lol. It is my favorite.

Believe it or not, I've never tried that mascara, even though it has been around forever and always gets really good reviews. I'll have to give it a go. :thumbsup2

Day 1 Part 2

The Regal Sun Resort, Boardwalk and the ESPN Club

We were both really happy to have finally arrived and when we walked into the lobby of the Regal Sun we were pleasantly suprised as I had read some not so good reports of this place. My fears were put to rest. The lobby was absoultly beautiful.

Here are some pics of the Regal Sun From the outside:

We went into check in and the ladies at the check in desk were super nice. They talked to us and found out that we were comeing down to celeabrate our anniversary. We had booked this on priceline.com for a really low price so we expected a view of the dupster and we knew that we would have two double beds which we were okay with. But the lady upgraded us to a water view with a king bed. *YEAH*

The room was really nice and had a modern feel. The room was really clean and we had a nice view. They had free high speed internet which was a plus because I had just gotten a new laptop that I brought on our trip. We also had a small fridge that was hidden in the dresser.

As we had planned we freshened up and set off for the Boardwalk to eat at The ESPN Club. I had read that this place could get packed so we were really hoping to get lucky and not have to wait too long as DH is a sports fanatic and this was his one request. We got a little lost on the way there but we found The All Star Resort area so we knew where to come the next day. We asked the guard how to get to the Boardwalk and he gave us really good directions.

Soon we saw this and knew we were going the right way:

We headed straight in and all I have to say is this place is really beautiful. I would love to stay here one day when my budget grows lol. We were both starving so we headed straight for The ESPN Club. To my overwhelming relief we only had to wait about 5 minuites before we were seated. We got seated in the main dining room where the big tv screen was. DH was elated to say the least. There was so much sports memrabila (sp?) around that he had so much to look at. I have to say that I am not a huge sports fan myself but this place was really intresting and really had a lot to keep you entertained. We both settled on the Angus Chuck Burger with fires. They were really good. We really wanted to try a dessert but we both were really full so we decided to split the Rocky Road Cake. I highly recommend this if you like choclate. It was perfect and there was enough for DH and I to share. All in all the ESPN Club was a great experience and we will go back next year. Here are some of pics from The ESPN Club.

After dinner we decided to walk around the Boardwalk. We wondered around to Jellyrolls and considered going in but we were both tired and didn't think that we would last to long. We saw that the Swan/Dolphin was super close so we decided to walk over and check them out. I don't think that I ever got around to mention it but I won a stay at the Swan/Dolphin from the Podcast. We couldn't swing adding the days this year but decided that we would use them next year. Of course we wanted to see what it looked like. I have to say DH was quite impressed as was I. These are beautiful hotels and it made us really excited to stay here for a few days next year. Here are some pics, sorry it was dark so they didn't turn out so well.

I really liked this light fixture in the lobby of the Dolphin:

After checking out the Swan/Dolphin we decided to go and walk around the Boardwalk and do a little shopping. Here are some pics of the Boardwalk at night.

We did some shopping I am sorry the name of the store has escaped me. I got a Boardwalk post card an a food bowl for Hermione and one for BFF's cat Tux. Here is DH channeling his alter ego.

After our shopping we were both exhausted, it was time to head back to the hotel for some rest.

NEXT UP:

We finally check into our Disney Resort.....How was our first real Disney guest experience?
AND We finally head to the Magic Kingdom!!!!

I have tried other more expensive stuff but nothing compares to that one. The closest that I came was some by Mac but it is about 4X's the price lol

OMG, that dessert looks absolutely incredible! I'd head over there just for that!

Lady Lallie is going to freak when she sees that light fixture.

:rolleyes1 Me? Freak about a light fixture? ::yes::

That light fixture is AWESOME. :yay:

Sounds like you had a great first night. I have to get over to the Boardwalk on our next trip, just have too.

That was great, Bella! We have been staying at the Swolphin lately and love the location, so close to Boardwalk. We get some great rates with the teacher's discount. Love that photo of the Boardwalk with ESPN club in it.

DH is an all around sports guy (high school football coach, it's in his blood :rotfl: ) so we get to ESPN every trip almost. I love the nachos and that huge hot dog. I don't usually eat like that but when I'm there, I do ;)

About the dip comment, I wasn't making fun or anything. DH used to chew so I know what it's all about. Your DH having one in just reminded me of about everyone I know, course you all aren't too far away. It's a regional thing, right? :lmao:

Hi Bella! So fun to see you two down at Disney! We stay at the Boardwalk Villas so it was great to see your Boardwalk pictures! Looking forward to more!!! :goodvibes

It was really good. I have a major sweet tooth so one of my favortie things about the free dining was having free dessert.

I know!! It is a very cool light fixture. lol

Me? Freak about a light fixture?

Isn't it cool!!! When I posted it I thought that you would like it! But you know I found myself really paying attention to light fixtures lol there are a lot of really pretty ones at Disney!

Boardwalk is awesome. We really enjoyed it. The atmoshphere there is really wonderful.

I love that you call the S/D Swolphin! I think that I am going to steal that. ;) We got super excited, they are beautiful hotels and can't believe that we won a stay there!

I have always told DH that is what he should have done was be a football coach. He is always coaching the teams on tv :lmao:

Really I did not take offence. DH knows I really hate it. I make him brush his teeth before he gets near me after he has had that stuff in his mouth. The smell of it makes me gag. There are a ton of people in this area that dose it, I hope one day DH will decided to stop.

Thank you, I really would love to buy into DVC some day and I think if I had my choice right now the Boardwalk Villas would be it! We just really loved it.

Hey everyone,

I will try to update tomarrow. I have had a not fun cold and am just now starting to feel better. Thanks for staying with me.

Fun update. We still have never made it over to the Boardwalk in all our Disney trips!

As an aside, a little known fact (or maybe not so little known), Hollywood and Broadway makeup designers actually use the cheap green and pink great lash on productions because it works the best and lasts the longest. It's the only thing I use now because I've tried MAC, Mary Kay, Clinique, etc, etc and NOTHING works as good.

You should head over there one trip. There is a lot to do there.

That is really cool, you know it dosen't really suprise me though. It is the best that I have ever used. I did like MAC but not as much as the cheapie green/pink tube stuff, the MAC costs a lot more and dosen't seem to last as long. I am a big advocate of The cheapie stuff. ;)

Dangit! I forgot to get some on my shopping trip yesterday. :headache: I seriously can't stand the stuff I'm using now. Does this green and pink one thicken as well as lengthen?

It dose, but I find that it dose better after about a week. Not sure why, but when I buy a new tube it takes a few times useing it for it to work untill it's full potential LOL
