Day 1 Part 2
The Regal Sun Resort, Boardwalk and the ESPN Club
We were both really happy to have finally arrived and when we walked into the lobby of the Regal Sun we were pleasantly suprised as I had read some not so good reports of this place. My fears were put to rest. The lobby was absoultly beautiful.
Here are some pics of the Regal Sun From the outside:

We went into check in and the ladies at the check in desk were super nice. They talked to us and found out that we were comeing down to celeabrate our anniversary. We had booked this on priceline.com for a really low price so we expected a view of the dupster and we knew that we would have two double beds which we were okay with. But the lady upgraded us to a water view with a king bed. *YEAH*
The room was really nice and had a modern feel. The room was really clean and we had a nice view. They had free high speed internet which was a plus because I had just gotten a new laptop that I brought on our trip. We also had a small fridge that was hidden in the dresser.

As we had planned we freshened up and set off for the Boardwalk to eat at The ESPN Club. I had read that this place could get packed so we were really hoping to get lucky and not have to wait too long as DH is a sports fanatic and this was his one request. We got a little lost on the way there but we found The All Star Resort area so we knew where to come the next day. We asked the guard how to get to the Boardwalk and he gave us really good directions.
Soon we saw this and knew we were going the right way:
We headed straight in and all I have to say is this place is really beautiful. I would love to stay here one day when my budget grows lol. We were both starving so we headed straight for The ESPN Club. To my overwhelming relief we only had to wait about 5 minuites before we were seated. We got seated in the main dining room where the big tv screen was. DH was elated to say the least. There was so much sports memrabila (sp?) around that he had so much to look at. I have to say that I am not a huge sports fan myself but this place was really intresting and really had a lot to keep you entertained. We both settled on the Angus Chuck Burger with fires. They were really good. We really wanted to try a dessert but we both were really full so we decided to split the Rocky Road Cake. I highly recommend this if you like choclate. It was perfect and there was enough for DH and I to share. All in all the ESPN Club was a great experience and we will go back next year. Here are some of pics from The ESPN Club.
After dinner we decided to walk around the Boardwalk. We wondered around to Jellyrolls and considered going in but we were both tired and didn't think that we would last to long. We saw that the Swan/Dolphin was super close so we decided to walk over and check them out. I don't think that I ever got around to mention it but I won a stay at the Swan/Dolphin from the Podcast. We couldn't swing adding the days this year but decided that we would use them next year. Of course we wanted to see what it looked like. I have to say DH was quite impressed as was I. These are beautiful hotels and it made us really excited to stay here for a few days next year. Here are some pics, sorry it was dark so they didn't turn out so well.
I really liked this light fixture in the lobby of the Dolphin:
After checking out the Swan/Dolphin we decided to go and walk around the Boardwalk and do a little shopping. Here are some pics of the Boardwalk at night.
We did some shopping I am sorry the name of the store has escaped me. I got a Boardwalk post card an a food bowl for Hermione and one for BFF's cat Tux. Here is DH channeling his alter ego.
After our shopping we were both exhausted, it was time to head back to the hotel for some rest.
NEXT UP:
We finally check into our Disney Resort.....How was our first real Disney guest experience?
AND We finally head to the Magic Kingdom!!!!
