Next month, next month- I will be in Disney world- NEXT MONTH!
Can you tell Im a little excited!
Ive gotten a little more done prep wise for this trip, which, of course, involves buying more things!
When I was at Busch Gardens I saw a pregnant lady walking around the park wearing a running skirt. She looked so cute and comfortable that it got the wheels in my head turning, and sent me straight to the internet to look up maternity running skirts. I found a company that makes them, and took the plunge and bought one. I really lucked out because I found one on sale for $38, which is a bargain compared to the $68 they usually retail for! I couldnt justify full price, but the sale price was doable, plus I needed to get some more maternity work out shorts anyway.
Here is the skirt I purchased
I like that it is made out of a cool-max material so it will be very comfortable, and it has compression shorts underneath, and its always nice to have the extra support when you are spending the day on your feet pregnant.
It should be arriving in the mail today, and if I like it, I might buy another pattern that is also on sale.
Also Ive been giving some thought to my footwear. Usually I wear my mickey
crocs in the parks. They have done well for me in the past and they are very comfortable, but I think it would be smart to find something with a little more support. I dont want to wear sneakers because there is nothing I hate more than having wet feet if it rains, so Ive been looking into different pairs of sandals. Based on some glowing DIS reviews Im going to go check out some Keens at REI this weekend. They are not cheap, but Im sure Ill still find use for them even after Disney.
Yeah, they are pretty ugly, but I usually wear crocs, so its not like I'm super concerned with cute footwear at WDW!
Oh and I also convinced my mom to dress up as a lion, so were all set for our costumes!
I also thought I could give you a detailed peak in my day two plans! Here goes!
Wed. Sept 26th
Im sure well be up bright and early this morning (because with Everett there is no such thing as a lazy morning). Well likely either do room service (this is why I love traveling with my mom, DH would never pay the extra expense to have food delivered

) or go down and grab something at the Contempo Café.
After that it will be time to catch the monorail and head over to the MK for rope drop!
Of course with a two-year old the first order of business will be storming the castle on our way into Fantasyland. Well hit up Peter Pan, Small World, Philharmagic, the carousel, and maybe the teacups, but not Pooh, never Pooh!

hopefully it will be looking this empty when we arrive!
OK so here is my question, should I ride the teacups? I havent been able to find any official warnings about riding them pregnant, its not on the list of restricted attractions. When we went to Busch Gardens, their teacups did have a restriction notice, but they did look like they were going faster than the ones at Disney. I dont get motion sick, so Im not concerned about that, but I dont want to do it if there is a risk to the baby. On the other hand I dont want to skip it because Everett adores them. What do you guys think, yay or nay?
After that well head over to Dumbo. I didnt want to do it first because I wanted to let the lines build a little bit and let Everett have some time in the new playground area. I think he will really love it! It will be a fine line with me obsessively checking the new Disney app, because I dont want to have to wait too long. Ten to 15 minutes would be great, much longer than that and well just get a FP.
One other wrinkle is the Casey Junior splash station. Everett is notorious for begging to go play in the water, and then having an epic meltdown when he gets wet.

So either I have the melt down on the front end (if I dont let him go play) or the back end (when he realizes he is soaking wet). I guess I cant win and should probably just plan on bringing his bathing suit and wasting- oh I mean- spending -quality time there.
Id like to also be able to catch either the Dream along with Mickey castle show and possibly the move it, shake it, celebrate it parade, so Im going to be keeping close taps on the times. The good thing is we will be really close in Fantasyland/Circusland so we could easily pop over and then head back.
From there we will head into Tomorrowland to check out Buzz, Monsters Inc and the people mover. Id love to be able to do COP, but lets be realistic, Im traveling with Everett. I dont want to be one of those annoying people who messes up the whole show because they are attempting to exit the theatre with their screaming toddler.
For lunch Id like to head back into Fantasyland (although this may not be the best idea from a crowd perspective) and have lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus. I havent eaten there since approximately 1996, so Im ready to give it another try, and the flatbreads dont look too bad. Everett is also enamored with Pinocchio and Im sure hed love a table watching the small world boats go by. The one stipulation is that if we cant get over there by 11:30 at the latest, well stick with Cosmic Rays. I dont want to both fight Fantasyland crowds and fight through lunch rush.
After lunch Im toying with the idea of an afternoon break, I know, heresy! I really want to take advantage of the pool at the Contemporary and it will be super easy to get back. Maybe the stars will align and Everett will actually take a nap in the room! More likely I will have to load him back up in the stroller and head back over to the MK where I will push him into dreamland (and then likely play more SotMK!)
This image does look worth leaving the MK for, maybe?
After that the only really concrete thing I have planned is dinner at Tonys at 6:15. Ill have to play the afternoon by ear, depending on how much time we spend at the pool and when, where, and how long nap time is, we might be able to fit in another attraction or two.
Look I even found a picture with fall decorations, I'm so on the ball!
Ive never eaten at Tonys before, and although it gets mixed reviews, Im willing to brave mediocre Italian food in my quest to eat at every restaurant in WDW. Its a big sacrifice, I assure you!
That night Wishes and the MM&Y show starts at 9, so well likely have some time to kill after dinner (please dont let dinner take two hours!

). Maybe I can time it so that I can grab a FP for something (Jungle cruise?) before dinner and ride it before we have to stake out a spot for fireworks.
If not maybe we can find the Dapper Dans or the piano player. I really want to take some time on this trip to listen to the live music at Disney. Everett loves music and its something I feel like dont take the time to appreciate enough at Disney.
Once the fireworks are over, well join the masses and head out of the park, except for us, there will be no waiting for transportation. Nope, just a quick jaunt back to the Contemporary (I can tell Im going to get used to this!).
