A Pirate and Princess Get Married...and Disneymoon! UPDATE 6/15 DAY 3 PART 2

Do you even know how cute you guys still looked all tired?! Most people don't look half as good wide awake:lmao: :rotfl2:

You two are still cracking me up. I can just see you creeping over and him realizing he better get up or get it...HA HA HA Have you actually ever gotten him with the water?! ;)

I am glad you were able to drag yourselves out of bed for fireworks. They sound amazing. Do you have any favorite U Tube links? If so please share! I saw so many listed and the one I started on had this lady with an annoying voice talking to her husband or fiance or child or whoever VERY LOUDLY and it was jittery...so I gave up. ;)

Thanks for the update and keep us updated on your brother and job interview as well!!:wizard:

6:30AM my body jilts awake soaked. What on earth? Oh yes, that's right it's really 9:30 back home. This was nice until we got used to the time difference. But that still doesn't explain waking up in puddles of sweat What on earth was going on. Checked the air conditioning- on middle of the cold setting which is usually sufficient for us. Groggily I turned on the laptop and checked the weather. 100 DEGREES! 100 DEGREES! WHAT?!?!?

I had just checked the weather for our trip two days earlier- we were supposed to have weather in the 70's all week! What was going on!?!? Now the weather was in the 100s for the remaining time we had a Disney. We checked the weather over in Vegas- same thing.

What we didn't know was for the first 12 days of our honeymoon every day would go to over 100 degrees. More amusing is the next 10 days we would spend in the snow.

But back to today.

We dressed for the heat and made our way over to Mimi's for breakfast which is a very cute restaurant right next to HOJO's that gets rave reviews on the Dis.

Mimi's did not disappoint. Jay and I both got french toast with our breakfast meats (I'm into sausage, he's a bacon guy...tomato, tomatoe) and sides (I had berries he had eggs...apples and oranges we are).

We then had our walk over to the land. We arrived right at park opening which was perfect and made our way through the tunnel.

Pictures714.jpg

Who else loves that sign?

We decided to make our way over to Space Mountain since we had never ridden the new version. It was FANTASTIC! So much better than Space at Disneyworld. Major differences- you can sit next to each other. The ride goes MUCH faster. The stars/galaxies are much more vibrant and impressive. A must see!

Pictures557.jpg

You'll notice in this picture that Honey I Shrunk the Audience is in Disneyland as well as Star Tours.

We decided to ride Matterhorn after this which is kind of a kiddie version of Everest. Think of a wild mouse going through a mountain meeting the Abominable Snowman. While waiting on line we contemplated sitting together in the little car or having room and sitting separate as there was a divider inside the vehicle. The only people sitting together were really children with their parents but a few couples were doing it so we decided to give it a go. BIG MISTAKE. This is a very jerky ride and both of us suffered several injuries by being squeezed together. Let's just say "the family jewels" weren't doing too great. Sorry hubby! Can you see the forced smile?

Pictures558.jpg

Following this we decided to ride Alice which I was super excited for. While on line I took various pictures of the area.

Pictures571.jpg

Pictures563.jpg

Pictures567.jpg

This was a very cute dark room ride with various scenes from the movie which we enjoyed immensely and are saddened that we won't be able to ride it in Disneyworld.

Pictures578.jpg

After exiting Jeremy decided he had had enough of the finance world and was going to deem himself King of the land.

Pictures587.jpg

Things obviously didn't work out much to his chagrin.

We made our way over to Pinocchio which is another dark room ride in Fantasyland. Also very cute and enjoyable and we really enjoyed riding these rides which are not in the World.

Pictures588.jpg

Pictures589.jpg

Pictures599.jpg

Following Pinocchio we made our way over to Toon Town. Toon Town is much different than in Disneyworld. While overall it looks better I believe it's much less organized. There is no actual building to meet and greet characters. They're out sparatically and it's a matter of finding them and getting in MASSIVE lines to meet them.

Jeremy became firefighter for the day

Pictures602.jpg

However, there is a Roger Rabbit ride in Toontown which is SUPER FUN! It is a dark room ride that utilizes a vehicle with a spinning feature that you either perpetuate or diminish based on your vomit factor. Great time!

Pictures604.jpg

Pictures605.jpg

I almost got killed on the way out!

Pictures606-1.jpg

Jeremy was being a very bad boy and was put under arrest

Pictures609-1.jpg

But a last we were reunited bride and groom once more

Pictures610.jpg

Chip and Dale have their own tree house here in the land so we checked that out.

Pictures611.jpg

As you can see we were getting a little picture happy here.

Finally we made our way out of Toon Town. Jeremy really wanted to check out Pirates so we made our way over to New Orleans Square. WOW! Pirates was SOOOO much better at Disneyland. It's much longer. It starts out with 2 drops and you go through caves with all kinds of waterfalls that are EXTREMELY beautiful before going through the actual Pirates scenes. I LOVED it and I'm not usually the biggest advocate of the Pirates ride.

Pictures622.jpg

We made our way over to Critter Country which is home to Splash Mountain and Winnie the Pooh. It's a really cute area that was one of my favorite areas of the park. Although Splash was closed for refurbishment Pooh was open so we gave it a whirl. So much fun. It's a little different than at Disney World although I'm unable to put my finger on how.

It was time for a much needed Tigger Tail!

Pictures629-1.jpg

Jeremy was a bit hungry and I caught him stealing Pooh's Hunny!

Pictures631-1.jpg

We were pretty drained at this time so we wanted to take a midday break but not before snapping a shot of the miniature castle.

Pictures645-1.jpg

What's really great about Disneyland is everything is the two parks and downtown Disney are all next to each other so there's no need for any kind of transportation. WE wanted to go shopping :rolleyes1 so we made our way over to Downtown Disney. I purchased a really cute Tinkerbell tee shirt and blazer which you'll see me wearing throughout much of the trip. We left before realizing I wasn't charged for the 50 dollar blazer! We were a tad bad and didn't return pirate:

Instead we celebrated at Uva Bar! YAY!

Pictures648.jpg

We're terrible, I know.

We decided to make our way over to the Disneyland Hotel and guess who was outside the hotel?

Pictures651.jpg

How strange- how come they don't do that in the world?

UP NEXT- Our strange experiences at "The Block at Orange" and our experiences at the Napa Rose

Our strange experiences at "The Block at Orange"

You went to the "Block of Orange" and lived to tell about it!!!!

I am impressed

My oldest daughter works at Dave & Busters there.

A couple of great updates, everything in the pictures looks so familiar.

It looks from the pictures that the crowds were on the lite side. We had been out there Sunday morning before you got there and it wasn't too bad.

I wasn't sure I should tell you this, but I think it was the day after you left for Vegas the temperature dropped back down to the 70's. It was really weird weather that week

Looking for to more

By the way. I'm 99% sure I have the job. I had to first go to a recruitment agency to see if I qualified for the position and was tested on Word, Excel and my typing speed without notice. That was fun since I haven't used Excel since 1999. However, I found out I type 90WPM! Crazy. I qualified so I had my second interview at the actual company yesterday. It's in a beautiful part of NY 2 avenues away from the Empire State Building. The actual office is on the 31st floor which I'm a bit nervous about. I have a thing with being high in buildings. Off topic- my cousin passed away 911 because he worked at Fitz Gerald way up there so ever since then I've avoided high sky scrapers but I need to learn to live with it someday. Anyway, at the interview I was told in so many words that I had the job that the man who interviewed me just needed to talk to the recruiter about how to file my salary. So I've been playing phone tag with the recruiter since then who has most recently told me she talked to him and he said he just needed to talk to her about how to file so it definitely seems like I have the job but you can't be 100 percent to you have it in writing to wish me luck!

I'm a nervous wreck because the recruiter was supposed to call me two hours ago! Ugh'!

Great trip report,
First the Marriage, then the Job...What more could a girl want..
Congrats

Oh god, not cute at all, but thank you for your kindness!

Yes, plenty of times in life I have gotten him with the water. We have this joking relationship now that we have a jacuzzi in our bathroom Jeremy will stay in there FOREVER. So one day when he was refusing to get out I splashed him with cold water that I got from the sink. This has become routine! Just imagine bottle after bottle of ice cold poland springs in the nice warm bath. I swear I'm really a good wife :rolleyes1

I LOVE Dave and Busters but the Block at Orange :scared1:. And I was like and he was like she said that kelly was like and like Totally!

Thanks so much. Crowds were very late, which was great. The hot weather followed us all the way up to Bryce Canyon but we started getting used to it after awhile. Strange..maybe I can survive a florida summer :scratchin

Thanks so much :bride: It was a magical day for us . We're in Jersey City on the bay. Apartment hunting is enough to make someone insane- especially in Hoboken! We looked into a lot of places there and in Weehawken and Edgewater but in the end our little community won our hearts. Good luck in finding the perfect place for him, I know it's difficult! pixiedust:

We had a really great time. Disneyland is such a great place to loose yourself in for a few days, especially if you've never been there!

Where else in CA are you going?

You guys look so freakin' cute in your wedding ears!!!

Yay for Uva Bar. I love that place.

I am so glad you had such a wonderful 1st 2 days. I love seeing all your pics. It's almost like I'm there. Almost.
