My trip in October I had two weeks booked at Ft. Wilderness for 1 adult. I had two additional adults joining me for the first week (8 nights). I didn't add them in advance as for the first time in years, my Ft. Wilderness stay was 1 reservation.

When I arrived, I told the check-in folks about the two adults and got key cards for them. I didn't really follow the checkin folks conversation, but the gist was they weren't going to charge me the extra adult fee.

HOWEVER, after I arrived home I noticed a charge on my credit card from Ft. Wilderness resort that was not on my portfolio and I didn't use my resort ID after receiving my bill the last morning.

So, I called and asked what this was for and it turns out it was the extra adult fee for the entire 14 nights!!!

I told them my friends left after 8 nights and they did credit part of the charge, but when the front desk appears that they are not charging the extra adult fee, it may be charged after the fact back in accounting somewhere.

Just a heads up!!!

That's just a little toooooo sneaky for my liking. You should have been advised by the front desk CM that the charge would apply, and it should have appeared on your portfolio. Unless I'm mistaken, the CM would have to had put that info on your account when you checked in - and it wouldn't have been an "after-thought"!

This is why I never put charging priviledges on my resort ID.

I'm glad they adjusted the 7 nights your friends didn't stay with you. Just goes to show you that you should always check your portfolio & then your statement when it arrives.

We too had this problem at our last stay, but never had before that. Where we had previously only been charged for the nights our guests stayed, last time we were charged the extra adult for the whole stay and then had to have it fixed.

Just have them walk in then pick them up as you drive in!!!! Disney makes more then enough money

I don't care that they charged me for them. (As a matter of fact my friends paid me for the charge ahead of time). My friends needed room keys, charging priviledges, and EMH.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that someone in the back is checking resort bills and will charge to your CC after checkout if something is not right.

The charge amount didn't look familiar to me, so I called. They were very nice about removing the 6 nights they didn't stay, so I didn't mind.
