Hello everyone

Well I have been scrapbooking now since the end of March and have fast become addicted - even though this is a fairly new hobby here in the UK. I have had tremendous help from Bev and Fiona, and have read, and re-read posts here on the boards and felt it was time to 'show' my first attempts. I haven't added to these layouts recently as I had a trip to WDW at the end of May and then we moved house straight after - and I am now just about ready to get my 'tools' out and get going again.

Anyway - I thought I would post a link to where my Layouts are and hope that if anyone has the time to look, you enjoy what you see :)

Thanks for looking.

Nice work, Janice!! They look great! Thanks for sharing!:)

Very nice! I love all the paper tearing! I haven't tried that yet! Plus it was such a flash to the past with Strawberry short cake! Where did you get that die cut? or was it a computer print out? Or hand made? Love it!

Very well done. I really like the lettering on the beach pages. Is that from a special paper or did you peice that?

Janice-Great layouts, thanks for sharing them! I also love the strawberry shortcake! Reminds me of being a kid!

Thanks for the nice comments - it's made my day! :D

Janette - the lettering is called Beach Fun Lettering, by My Mind's Eye and it cost £2.25 (about $3) for the complete alphabet. I chose upper case, but it comes in lower also I think. I got it online from a UK Supplier ( Scraptastic ) - they do ship and have a great selection of other types if you can't get it in the USA.

It was one of the first things I bought and you know how it is - I was wandering round the display, not really knowing what I should buy or not - picking stuff up, putting it down again - but I got these and was really pleased with the effect. As you can see you can use them whole in the square - or punch them out.

Spinning - The Strawberry Shortcake was a real achievement for me and I am happy to share. It was my daughters favourite doll at the time, she had a picture of SS on her Top that she was wearing in the photo and I wanted to highlight that in the layout. I searched the internet for SS and was surprised at how much stuff was available - but nothing in the size or coloured that I wanted. So, I copied a black pencil drawing from one site into my Publisher document, enlarged it and then pasted it into Paint. I then patiently coloured each section in Paint, copying the colours from a tiny picture I downloaded and then printed it onto Photographic Paper. Cut it out and stuck it with 3D mounting pads to give that "raised" effect.

As this was my third or fourth page I did - I was really pleased with the effect. I have added a couple of buttons to that page now, a Strawberry and a couple of leaves - I need to scan it again.

Thanks everyone for looking - I appreciate your time in doing so.

:)

I have to agree, GREAT JOB!! those pages look great. Have you noticed the curves of the railing in the top picture on "One lump or two" gives her mickey ears? A hidden mickey!! :D

Keep up the work from another new scrapper.

Mike

Hey Mike - thanks for the nice comments and pointing out the Hidden Mickey - I really hadn't noticed that!

Great job! My faves are "My Little Man" and "Daddy's Little Princess." :) Love the black and white photos too. Thank you for sharing.

Janice, your pages are beautiful. You're doing a great job! :)

WOW, those are beautiful. I've been scrapping for years and haven't even attempted layouts that complicated. I tend to go too quickly :-). Great job.:bounce:

I have really enjoyed what I have done so far and cant wait to get going again :)
