A Newbie's 4 Celebration PTR! ~ Updated 7/15

Updated our ADRs and such, as well as our resort on the first post ^_^

Okay so our flight was booked a bit ago and I've been worrying because our flights are confirmed, there are just no seats available for me to choose!! YIKES!

So I finally called Delta just now and the lady assured me that there are seats and we won't be bumped. We just may need to talk to the gate representatives to make sure we are all sitting together :)

Here are our flights ...

To WDW
Departing July 26th @ 10am from SLC
Arriving MCO @ 4:30pm
Non-stop Flight! :woohoo:

From WDW

Another Non-stop Flight!! :woohoo:

Okay, this might be a bit tedious but I really needed somewhere to put this!

We have the quick dining package, which is 36 quick service meal points total and 36 snack opportunities.
I'm trying to figure out using the points so that we can have breakfast in the morning as well as other meals ...
Mine and Jon's points will be slightly different than Amanda's because we have an ADR at CRT for just us on our anniversary.

As you can see, we will use some snacks in replacement of meals or whatever. I know we'll have plenty of food :) I'm more concerned with Amanda having enough. Obviously, she can use her points however she wishes and if we have extra points, then we'll let her use them.

Maybe we can give her the $15 Planet Hollywood meal voucher to use while we eat at CRT?

You arrive the day we leave - I am looking forward to reading when I get back!!

Yeah, I saw that. I was kind of bummed, but hey, we'll both have an awesome time ^_^

Thank you! I'm really excited to write it :goodvibes

Hello Glen! I hope my TR will be as interesting as yours ^_^

Tink is out having fun on her vacation, I know she's having an awesome time ^_^

So today we were going to have Luna go to the vet to see what she needs to be updated on. Usually she is watched by her foster family that we adopted her from while we are on vacation. This time, they will be out of town :( So, to a kitty camp she goes!
But wait! Is she updated with shots?! No idea! Doesn't help that we moved 2 hours away from her old vet ... so now we need to see a new vet.
We were counting on her foster family to watch her but now it's going to get expensive ($100 for her boarding fee) and we may have to cut back on our budget for WDW :(

The bright side is that we found an amazing place that has quite impressive reviews by people. AND it's cageless ^_^

I feel odd not posting more in this thread ... haha I suppose I don't have as much to worry about with planning since we aren't doing tons of ADR's, buying groceries and such. Well, due to that, anyone that is still reading will now get to read about our struggle with getting Luna taken care of! :woohoo:

Update with Luna!

We went to the vet to get her shots, so she's all updated :) However, the vet found out that something is wrong with her paw (Luna took a swipe at her, but didn't try to injure her). Turns out her paw was really swollen and under where her toes are, looks like a scrape/cut/bite (one of them) and it may have started growing an infected absess (however it's spelt).
So the $110 vet visit turned out to be $178 x.x

Though, Luna is doing better today, her paw is still swollen but it looks less red/icky than before. Which is a good thing!

Also, Amanda has saved up enough to pay us back for airfare PLUS a little tiny bit of pocket money. We were worried if she'd save enough, and she has! She's working on saving more and hopefully she'll have $50-75 for extra spending money :)

So, this next update may seem a bit ... out of the ordinary with other PTR's, but hey, I'm still a college student, what else do you expect?

I've been wanting to do hardcore packing/getting things ready, etc. but I have been extremely busy with something ... school :teacher::headache:

Not only do I have this trip to the World coming up (:woohoo:) but the friday before is my birthday :cool1: which DH is planning. So, because of all of this 'fun time' I have to do assignments earlier so I don't miss the due date. What does this mean?
This means that I have 3 papers (1 page each), 1 essay (4-6 pages) and a midterm to do between now and the 26th!! :scared1::scared:
To top it off, these aren't just any classes, no, these are my last classes I will take for my bachelor's ... so I must have passing grades!

Lol perhaps those of you that read this PTR (if there are still any ...) can understand why I really don't have much time to even plan my vacation! Haha, too many things going on that preoccupies my time.

On the bright side though  (ding!) the essay I have to write is similar to an essay I had to write for another class, which I still have the paper that I wrote for it, so that will make it easier for me to write the essay that's due :)

Crazy huh!?

Oh, Luna Update!! :cat: :cat: :cat:
Went to the boarding place for Luna today. It's cage free! We're really happy with that and have booked her to stay there during our trip to the World :goodvibes Her paw is also looking MUCH better and we believe that she should be back to normal, or close to back to normal by the time we leave :flower3:

Hrm, if anyone is reading this ... would you mind letting me know if you would like detailed photos of our meals :) I know I will do some ... like CRT and GF Tea :) We are on a QS DDP though.

Please give your opinions if you care or not :)

Due to the overwhelming response, I shall take pictures (or try to) of every meal I have :cool1:

Yeah, I'm a foodie ... DH and I are HUGE foodies! We love food ... visually and by taste :D

Still not too much going on ... everything is going as planned with reservations and such. THough, we still can't find DH's stainless steel canteen :(

My birthday was yesterday, I am now a ripe old age of 24 :rolleyes1 Of course I got a birthday cake! It was a Little Mermaid cake and it had a plastic toy of Ariel on a pillow in a big clam-like shell. I am SO taking this with us so I can leave it out on display in our room :goodvibes
Also for my birthday I got 2 Ariel birthday cards (notice a theme?) with stickers inside. PERFECT for my homemade banner I'll be putting in the window :)

Also for decor, prior to moving, I picked up mickey head shaped paint samples from Home Depot (blue/teal and orange) to make a banner for Amanda :) We're planning on going into the room first to hang up this banner to surprise her when she enters.
Snagged some neon green ones as well for the banner in the window :)
We stopped by Hobby Lobby to frame a picture and I noticed 'spring' items were like 60% off!:dance3: We bought a cute little 'wind sock' of pooh trying to get to some honey. Thought would be really fun to hang in our room as well :)

Oh yes! We did do some 'last minute shopping' a few days ago :goodvibes
We got everything on our list, except we were too late to get Jon's watch battery changed :(
• Mister Fans ($1.50 ea!) - smaller but hold a good bit of water
• Sunblock - SPF 100 baby!! :woohoo:
• Yellow Adult Poncho - for me! We plan to use ponchos on splash mountain as well as rain deterrents
• Cheap Flipflops - for Amanda
• Travel snacks - It will be a 4.5 hour non-stop flight and delta usually requires you to BUY stuff onboard at crazy prices. So, we got a box of cheapo brand granola bars (6 pack, 2 for each of us for the round trip) + 3 packs of pretzel, cheese, jerky pack (1 for each going to MCO).

That's about it ... we're thinking about going out tomorrow to get Jon's watch fixed. Looks like this:

Limited Edition ^_^
We believe it just needs a new battery. Got it during our honeymoon when there was a promotion of spending a certain amount of money in the shop and getting this watch for a discounted price. I just wish he would wear this watch more :headache: It's beautiful!

Anywho that's what's going on here. Already did :laundy: and packed ... we're just waiting for Amanda to get here to complete packing.

And I'm back ^_^

Will post link to TR when it is up and running :)
