We have now set a date to go back to WDW:

August 2009

The saving starts now!

Congratulations.

We will probably be there the same time!! Hope to see you

Woo hoo Tim!!! Great news! :Pinkbounc When we got back from our "once-in-a-lifetime visit" ;) ;) we set a date for our return for three years time. I thought I would never survive the wait but it has gone so quickly and now we have less than a year until we go! And it is sooo nice seeing the savings amount up! :goodvibes

Well done Tim :thumbsup2

I imagine 2009 will be our timescale for a return trip aswell! - Unless I dislike staying onsite and decide to stay in a motel 25 miles out of town & fly with low low airline via Alaska :teeth:

:sunny:

You will LOVE staying onsite!! :cool1:

Good for you. 3 years seems like forever but I'm sure its nice to have it pinned down to a date now and these things always go faster than expected :thumbsup2

Great news Tim :thumbsup2

So you are plumping for August again rather than say December?

I think it's great to have something to look forward to and to aim for :cool1:

A lot of the fun is in the planning and the re-planning, learning new things about Disney and trying to incorporate them into your schedule.

We didn't have a strict schedule, as DH doesn't do schedules, but we did have 3 character meals booked and a Wishes cruise, and also a day at Discovery Cove so there were some days when we had to be in a specific place. But other than that we played it by ear and pretty much did everything that we wanted to do. We don't do shopping so I suppose that made it a bit easier.

The only thing I didn't do that I wanted to was to get over to the Boardwalk, but hey, never mind, it just gives me a reason to have to go back again!!

:woohoo: It always feels better to have a trip in the offing even if it isn't immediate!

I think we are hoping to go back November 2008 (just before DS is 3!)

Enjoy your planning!

Great news Tim, I liked your trip reports recently on your visit aswell =)

We really had 3 options on when what time of year to go - July/August, Easter or Christmas.

We enjoyed Christmas time, but the weather was a bit chilly for us.

Easter looked a good bet, but with only two weeks off school (DW works in a school), it would mean flying out on Saturday and returning on a Sunday with work/school the next day.

So, we went for August. We have been before at the end of August and the crowds weren't too bad. We are not too bothered about the heat.
We can also go for mid-week flights as well and come back with a few days to recover before having to go back to work :)
