A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

Is it all you can drink at Beirgarten? :rotfl: (i know it isn't... but that would be cool!)

6 more hat pics of Mark through DTD....

Aren't you 2 the ones who won $1000 on scratch offs in FL?????? NO LUCK????? LOLOLOL

Kathy are you tickling the armpit? :lmao:

Awww look at the 2 girls wearing sombreros!!! CUTE!

How nice that the girls went on SE with you... :)

What a great pic of you guys!!!!!!

DSC01323.jpg

Hey I recognize those!!!!!! Thank you so much Kathy!!!! Juliana loved her gifts!!

He said it was good...I don't even remember what he had.

Yes, we did win the money...but I meant BIG money so we could move to Florida. I thought since it wasn't working with Mark rubbing the belly, I'd try the armpit. :lmao::lmao:

Weren't the little "minnows" just so cute in their sombreros?

Riding SE with the girls made it a "tearless" ride for me this time. I've cried every time I've ridden it since dad died, but doing it with Avery put a smile on my face.

Thanks...it's one of my favorite pictures of us together.

Juliana is MORE than welcome.

3 posts in a row for me... sorry! ;)

add 2 more hats for Mark. I think we are up to 33 now.

What a great pic of you and Mark in front of the castle... that dang crane.... UGH!

Looks like the characters were loving you guys at CP.... it most of been the hats!

1st on PP.... did you guys get a prize or something? That is really cool.

Why am I getting sad knowing that when you leave MK, your Disney time is done? :sad1::sad1:

You THINK we are up to 33???? You need to be certain.

I know there is some way to photochop it out, but I wouldn't have a clue.

Yes, I think the Tigger ears and Eeyore ears helped with the fun we had.

No prize...just first riders.

I normally do get sad, but I knew where we were going and who we were seeing so I was okay this time.

Check your pm box...

Done...and will respond.

hummmmmmm wonder what could be in there? :confused3:confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'll never tell.

Some very ancient pix of T-shirts I took for Kathy. I hope she can still use them!

And planning some evil thing for timmy.

More great updates! Love the pictures of the Cabanas area at CSR. I am really excited to be staying there. It just screams vacation, yet looks very laid- back and relaxing.

And your pictures at the Cystal Palace breakfast have me so super excited. I know that is going to be an amazing morning.

Also, I love your costume. I think you'll look great. :goodvibes Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Hi, Tina. You already love CSR, and those pictures just show why we do.

Max is going to love CP. Be sure to get the puffed french toast--it is in the kids spot.

Thanks...I thought he dress was cute too.

So sad....your last day in WDW for this trip.
All the hat pics you guys took are great! I don't think I've seen half of them, you've helped me find some more cute pics to take with Mackie. :goodvibes

I'm thinking my next trip will be just us girls, Mackenzie informs me we'll have a great time going to and fro and no waiting on the boys who can be grumpy from time to time, she says we can do all the ADR's we want and we can go do all the girly things that the guys don't want to do. :goodvibes I'm thinking delux dining might be in the works so we can hit some signature dining, along with a special tea time and some resort hopping. :cloud9:

Congrats on your son's new job!! Sounds like it's perfect for him! :thumbsup2

Now my son has piped up and says we should take a trip to WDW after he turns 21, he wants to try all the yummy drinks he saw while there last time.
We might have to skip delux dining so we can afford our drinks! We've got three more years so we have some time to plan this all out. :yay: Wow! Three years and all the Fantasyland stuff will be finished too!!
I'm thinking I might have to kidnap Liesa and have her come with me on this trip! :goodvibes

I think you should do the hat routine with Mackie...you'll have a blast.

Markie will do great coaching at high school level (he's already had experience with kids from ages 5 - 13 and they love him). What is it with boys when they turn 21 they want to "drink around the world?" Markie is 22 and hasn't been to Disney in ten years; he's constantly bugging us to take him. Too bad we go while he is in school. :lmao::lmao:

Yes, and you will have to skip deluxe to afford all of those drinks. ;)

Hey Kathy, just got caught up, loving your report!

Of all the hats I have seen Mark wear, that popcorn Mickey ears one is my new favorite! Its almost 2:00 a.m. (can't sleep) and I freaked out the dog with my cackling over that crazy hat shot of Mark!

Loved all your fun with Avery and Cayley, I think those girls are getting you guys ready for grandparenthood! So sweet, and must have been so much fun for you and Mark.

Love the Halloween Costume, can't wait to see pics of you in it. :hippie:

I am really excited to read about all the fun you had in Marco Island.

I leave in four days, had another resort change (our basement flooded this morning to the tune of $3500 in damages) I feel so much like this trip is jinxed but we are going (almost cancelled the whole thing). Like you I hate to fly and after all the weird things that have happened with this trip, I am not sure I want to get on that plane!

Can't wait to read more.:)

Amy, I can't believe your luck. If you didn't have bad luck, you'd have none at all lately. Where are you staying now? Please....let's whipser the "grandparenthood" please. I'm not quite ready for that (although with my two I'll be lucky if I ever have any).

I love this shirt. I would wear it NOW! LOL! If i ever lose my pregnancy weight (and yes she is almost 6) I have some awesome funky shirts like that just waiting for me in my stored "skinny clothes tote.

Thank you. It's actually a dress which means I will have to stand TOTALLY STRAIGHT ALL NIGHT--no bending over, no sitting, etc. :rotfl::rotfl: But I couldn't resist...it was "so" Disco.

Wonderful update on your last day, we always go to CP for lunch and we are trying it for our first breakfast in December. Your CSR pictures are making really excited for our first CSR stay (it looks beautiful and peaceful...I'm hoping to get Casitas 4 which I have requested for).

I hope you get Casitas 4 too (our second favorite building). You are going to LOVE CP's breakfast.

Kathy
just seen your Halloween costume...Love It! can not wait to see the pictures from that night!! you are going to look so hot!

Thanks, Connie. I promise to take pictures (if I don't look too fat in it).

OMG I don't know how I got so far behind, I missed like, 3 updates! Hope I can remember everything I wanted to comment on...

Biergarten looks like so much fun! I'd love to try it someday, but I don't know if I'd like the food there. :confused3 It's not all sausages if that is what you are worried about; and it is very good.

I love the pic of the "minnows" in the hats, they are so cute! :lovestruc They really were.

I always have to do Maelstrom and Spaceship Earth, they are 2 of my favorites! We always do these too--especially SE--which we usually do a couple of times.

I love the ornaments you got at DTD, I go ornament crazy in that Christmas store they have...I will have to really use some self restraint this year! That shirt you got is so cute! :) I usually go crazy with ornaments too--usually spend over $100--but I didn't notice a lot of new ones from last year.

Ok I will do the rest of my comments in a separate post, this is going to get too confusing! :rotfl:

I love your Halloween costume! :)Thank you.

So sad that we are already on your last day in the parks! CBR looks so pretty...I kind of wish I was staying there instead of POR in November, but there's always next time! :confused3I think you meant CSR and not CBR; you will love POR, you can do CSR another time. I normally am sad, but I knew we were going to Marco so I was okay this time.

I love the pics of you guys in front of the castle! What is the crane there for, to hang the Christmas lights? That's too bad they can't just do that at night, don't they know they are ruining people's pictures? :laughing:My thoughts exactly; do it at night and not during the day.. Yes, they were putting up Christmas lights.

I love CP! I really hope Eeyore comes over to our table this time, he just started coming over to the section we were sitting in as we were finishing up in May and didn't feel like waiting! You guys got such great pictures with the Pooh characters! We missed Tigger last year and Pooh the year before. Our timng was just really good this year.

I love all the Fantasyland rides, especially Winnie the Pooh! Looks like you had a fun morning! :cool1:

I love all the Fantasyland rides too...no matter how old I get.

Jen, comments to all your comments are in red because there were so many. ;)

I can't keep up Kathy, I think I was 3 updates behind!

The hat pic from Germany is priceless! :rotfl2:

I don't care much for German food but Biergarten looks like so much fun. I may just have to give it a try sometime.

It's so wonderful that you got to spend so much time with Mary and her adorable little girls :goodvibes

Breakfast at CP sounded like fun, I love it there - AND I'm pretty sure I spied some of those yummy french toast puffs on your plate, sooooo good!

Thanks, Michelle. There are plenty of salads and even chicken if you don't care for German food. The entertainment is really good.

I'm thrilled we got to spend so much time with Mary and the girls.

Yes, you spied "some" of the yummy puffed french toast on my plate. I won't admit how many I had and how many times I went back or sent Mark back. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just joining in on page 35:scared1: I am enjoying the report so far and can't wait to hear more.

:welcome::welcome:I am so happy that you are here. There are links on the first page for whenever I do an update so that you don't have to read through all the chit chat.

I'm going to try to do an update now before our son takes us out to dinner.

So we finished our train ride and walked the back route to Tomorrowland. Mark and I both hit the restroom and started to walk over to Buzz when we saw Chip and Dale and decided to head in line for our pictures with them (we've never missed a year with Chip and Dale). Of course, we got in line and JUST BEFORE it was our turn, they needed to take their break. We agreed to wait because they said it would be just a few minutes. So we are standing, first in line, waiting for them to come back, when this little guy appeared:

DSC01394.jpg

It was PUSH! Now we'd heard all about him but had never actually encountered him. So for the next ten minutes we had a conversation with a garbage can and let me tell you, it was a HOOT!

Push asked us our names. He then said that he saw we were celebrating our anniversary and asked us how many years. We gave him the responses and then he asked us if we rode Space Mountain. I told him no because Mark had surgery and couldn't ride. Push then asked if Mark was going to be okay and we told him yes. Push started spinning around because he was happy that Mark was going to be okay.

Then Stitch (my LEAST favorite character) walked over and PUSH proceeded to tell him all about Mark and I and his surgery. It was really comical.

DSC01395.jpg

Chip and Dale came back out and PUSH again gave them the whole story about Mark and I:

DSC01396.jpg

Finally, Mark and I got our pictures with Chip and Dale:

DSC01397.jpg

I must say we enjoyed our encounter with PUSH and it was very cute.

After standing in the heat during all of this, we decided to do the Tomorrowland People Mover before Buzz to cool off a bit.

DSC01398.jpg

From there, it was off to Buzz where GRUMPY again cheated and beat me:

DSC01399.jpg

We decided from Tomorrowland to walk over to Adventureland because we still had not seen the Tiki's and Mark enjoys this show (although he really wishes they'd bring the OLD version back). On the way, we stopped and our annual pictures taken with these guys:

DSC01400.jpg

DSC01401.jpg

We caught a little bit of the Castle Show but it was too crowded to stick around and it was HOT. I took a couple of shots, but they aren't great:

DSC01402.jpg

DSC01403.jpg

We arrived at the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room:

Next up was a ride in the Jungle:

DSC01413.jpg

DSC01415.jpg

I have to say we had the best skipper that we've had in years and we really enjoyed her. We love that she picked on a guy who was in the back of the boat who spent the entire cruise on his cell phone. Really...you are at Disney! What the heck are you doing on your cell phone?

We had to have one more ride with those pirates:

Up next, our last meal at Disney this trip and my tradition continues before we leave the park.

I love your costume!!! I think I would wear that in my normal life!!

I love breakfast in CP. How cute that you were bouncing with Tigger :thumbsup2 The CP Tigger has been quite interactive with my two nieces....hard to say if he was the same one both times but he was VERY flirty with both of them on tow different occasions.

What a cool interaction with Push!! And how cool that he told everyone about your anniversary....even Stitch!! Always fun too take a relaxing ride on the TTA.

Tracy

So we finished up with the Pirates and it was approaching our ADR time at The Plaza. The Plaza has become our traditional last meal while at Disney. After all the heavy meals during the time we are there, we just like something simpler (and, of course, the desserts) and we just love the food here and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

So we checked in for our 1:40 ADR about 1:30 and were given a beeper:

DSC01425.jpg

DSC01426.jpg

Right around 1:45, our beeper went off and we were shown to our table. Now we have ALWAYS had outstanding service here. This time, however, it was a little slow. But our waitress told us she had been called in to fill in for one of two sick people and they were shorthanded. We didn't mind too much because we were so hot and it was nice and refreshing in the restaurant. Before we ordered our food, we asked her to take a picture of us together (another new traditional picture):

DSC01427.jpg

Mark ordered The Plaza Club and I ordered the Turkey Club. Mark got chips and I got french fries...this way we could share with each other--I love the chips and the fries at The Plaza (the best french fries in all of Disney):

DSC01428.jpg

DSC01429.jpg

Mark had chocolate ice cream for dessert and I had my usual Hot Fudge Sundae, minus the whip cream and cherry--don't like whip cream or cherries:

DSC01432.jpg

We settled the bill and headed towards the front of the park so we could get on the monorail and head to the car for our drive to Marco Island. On the way, I purchased my balloon to give to a child in memory of my dad. For those of you new to my TR's, my dad passed away two years ago (the week before our 25th wedding anniversary trip). At that time, I decided to buy a balloon and release it up in the air to dad. But I know my dad and he would have yelled at me for wasting money. So I decided instead to give the balloon to a child. My dad always bought balloons for the boys wherever we went and I knew this would please him and make him smile.

So I picked out my balloon:

balloons.jpg
(Charlefours....I borrowed your picture, I hope you don't mind).

I had actually asked for a Mickey balloon and did not realize I got Minnie until I passed out the balloon. But it turned out all right because I gave it to a little girl named Katie. Her parents were very sweet and they said they would be honored to have Katie have the balloon in memory of my dad. There were a few tears, but each year it gets a little bit easier.

I took a few more pictures before we left:

On the road...leaving MK but heading to Nicki:

We had to stop for gas, and we saw these odd birds. I really expected them to walk right into the BP store:

DSC01439.jpg

DSC01441.jpg

We stopped at Starbucks out on I-4 before we got onto I-75. A few pictures on the drive (I have to admit I took a nap in the car so didn't get many pictures):

We arrived at the condo in Marco around 8:00 p.m. and brought in the luggage and then went grocery shopping. We hit the sack early (I think it was around 10:30) because we had a VERY special coffee date at 8 a.m. the next morning.

We didn't take a Jungle Cruise this year and now I wish we had. I haven't seen the Tiki birds in YEARS so I'm adding that to my list next year too!

I love your tradition to honor your dad. I think it's awesome.

I'm going to try my best to get into Tony's next year. I tried this year with no luck so I hope to get in next year.

Wow... what a great update!

PUSH looks so cool, I have never seen him either. Maybe next time.

Chip and Dale look much cuter without the green vests and hats.

The Plaza looks really yummy. I'll have to add that to the list of possible adrs.

Dont know which pic I like better, you kissing in front of the castle or you head to head at the Plaza!

And I love that you honor your dad that way, you are a wonderful daughter :lovestruc

I would love to drive to the Plaza right now for fries and a club sandwich!

The pictures of WDW, especially MK, is making me miss my annual Oct trip but in just 26 more days my butt will be there and all will be right with the world (well MY world anyways!)

Cant wait to read all about the Marco trip  Like I dont know what you did haha!

cute costume!

I would really like to do the breakfast at CP, I may have to consider it for our next trip. :goodvibes

Cute encounter with Push! Love the feet shoot on the Peoplemover. :thumbsup2

We really enjoyed our lunch at the Plaza. It was a bit slow when we went too but the food is so yummy. :lmao: I thought the balloon picture looked like mine and then I saw that you borrowed it. :upsidedow Glad to help out!! I love the tradition, such a sweet way to honor your day.

A wonderful update, and I love you buy a balloon and give it to a child in memory of your dad...its sweet and brings a smile to a young child...
Is the Chip and Dale meet and greet at Tomorrow land new? Do you think they will be there on December? I know Stitch is there but my son doesn't want to ge near him.

Mercy Kathy, I can't keep up with you. You have been updating fast and furious the last few days. I can't even remember what I wanted to comment on because I am all teary eyed from the balloon give-away in your Dad's memory.

Then Stitch (my LEAST favorite character) walked over and PUSH proceeded to tell him all about Mark and I and his surgery. It was really comical.

DSC01395.jpg

We had to have one more ride with those pirates:

DSC01420.jpg

I love Stitch...In the Movies...the Attraction at the park...not so much.

I think they should move him over to the Tiki Room and get rid of Zazu and Iago...Stitch Makes Awsome Tiki God!!!

Check out the Shadow of the Cats...HM!!!

Then Stitch (my LEAST favorite character) walked over...

Booo. Stitch is awesome! They just don't make proper use of him at the park.

From there, it was off to Buzz where GRUMPY again cheated and beat me

Hmm. Next time, get in the car behind him and just shoot him with the laser cannon. :thumbsup2

I have to say we had the best skipper that we've had in years and we really enjoyed her. We love that she picked on a guy who was in the back of the boat who spent the entire cruise on his cell phone. Really...you are at Disney! What the heck are you doing on your cell phone?

:goodvibes This cruise skipper makes me happy.
