Grr!!!
Just needed to get that out.
We went as a family on a very nice walk this afternoon. Came home, watching some of Bridget JOne's Diary... my hubby gets a call.
His buddy is stuck in the mud out by the lake. We have a truck, so we drive down and pull him out, no problem. (we need to go to the commissary for dinner anyway, so we get the kids in the truck and go)
And then his buddy's friend shows up in his big truck.
Being a hot-headed male, of course, he high tails it into the mud we just pulled friend out of.
We drove off. Not two minutes later, the cell rings.
SURPRISE!!! DING DING!!! You guessed it! Hot headed idiot is stuck!!!!
My husband being the nice guy that he is, turns around and drives back down to the lake. He forgets to put the 4WL on....
YEP!!! WE get stuck trying to get to this idiot so we can haul his butt out of the mud. Our big truck is up to both axles in nasty sticky mud.
The friend that we had originally come to help tries to pull us out, but his truck is just too small to pull ours out. We have a big truck.
So... after lots of phone calls, we get in touch with another friend that has a truck, and he comes to the rescue. HE GETS STUCK.
This friend calls one of his drill sergeants and finally gets the friend mentioned above unstuck.
He tries getting ours out, but no luck.
The kids and I, after about three hours has past, go home in the small truck. The kids have school tomorrow.
Hubby calls me... the idiot got free by the drill sergeant pulling him out.
They try again with our truck, and one of the tow straps breaks.
UGH. I just don't get men that have to be all stupid!!!!
Now our truck, the good smaritan truck, probably isn't going to make it home tonight, all because IDIOT!!! had to show off his jacked up truck and got stuck!!
So much for dinner from the commissary. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and the kids are finally in bed. We hadn't eaten dinner, and all three kids were cranky, and myself pregnant! LOL We weren't good company.

DH says men with big trucks are compensating. Sorry ya'll got stuck in the mud. I would have been mad too. The whole story makes me think of the tar baby. At least you didn't have to jump in the briar patch.
