We must've posted at the same time. Funnily enough, when we were considering the change, I actually said to DH - "Hey, if we went in December, we could have a DIS-meet with Tim and Mel and Juliana - the people that we left our goodies for last year!"

Oh well, there's always next year.

Tell me... how do you use the countdown calendar? Do you put stickers on or do you take Mickey heads off? I picked up my Mickey Heads at Home Depot but still have to assemble my countdown calendar. We're probably only going to do 30 days or so.

I put stickers on. DS just loves putting stickers on things -- and better a posterboard than my walls!!

A Pretty in Pink {and Brown} 1st Birthday!

This is totally off-topic, but I thought I would share some pictures from DD's 1st birthday party today. We just do very small parties for first birthday's, so it was just Darren and I and the kids, Darren's parents, my parents, my grandmother, my niece, and our good friends Jamie and Lynnette.

Here are the yummy mini cupcakes and smash cake. Chocolate and vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream icing. And yes, they tasted just as good as they look!

She was sooo funny eating her cake! At first she just kept showing me her hand (with icing on it), like she wanted me to clean it off. I got some icing on my finger and put it in her mouth, and then she figured it out. But she would do it just like I did - take one finger and get icing on it and then lick it off! It was hilarious!

She liked it so much that she wanted to share with Mommy!

The super cute blanket that Nette-Nette made her!

I don't know how well you can see them, but she got four Disney Princess dolls - Aurora, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Belle

This is how big they are - I love them!

I love the birthday pictures, thanks for sharing them with us . The cupcakes do look yummy and the decorations are really pretty. We have a lot of Mom's using the pink and brown or the blue and brown themes for babies's nurseries.

Aw, Julia, sweet birthday party for Sarah Kate! I love it when they dig into that cake. I remember my girls not wanting to get their hands dirty, until I got a taste into their mouth, then you couldn't keep them out of that cake!
