I buy my bras from a guy that owns his own shop. He isn't gay and he use to joke with me. I was his sons age, but it was all in fun.

When I first went in there; I needed help finding and F cup and VS doesnt sell them. Well, by the time I was done I was the 9th letter of the alphabet...so I was making fun of me too!

I was more comfortable with him joking and teasing with me then I was with the stuffy VS employees that couldn't help me and had "No Idea" of where I could go. I think I met him when I needed help finding a strapless for my wedding. And he helped me buckle the back! All through the kids births he kept measureing me and helping find the ones that I like! He has been my knight in Shinning Armor!

But I could see being 17 and being uncomfortable I just didnt have a choice and like I said; I would rather joke about it then be all serious and stuffy. i tell him when I am done with kids I am getting a reduction and he says I am his best/favorite customer and I can't do that for him!LOL! He is the BEST!

Sorry -- this post had me roaring this morning. I just can't imagine someone doing that. If she were pounding and pounding on my door I'd be like "What the?" and holding the door shut with both hands and feet! LOL! Too funny!

I wouldn't have a problem with a man assisting me at VS at all, but I can understand that others would.

My OBGYN is a man, and I love him! I prefer him over the women OBGYN's I've seen. Go figure!

There was a guy working at the VS I was last in, but I only bought lotion and mints so I really didn't even think about it. I certainly wouldn't want him helping me with lingerie though!

I definately wouldn't want to be measured by a male employee, but as for him just helping me find a size or style, or ringing up my purchase, that wouldn't bother me.

I get the skeevies thinking about a sales clerk helping me try on a bra, male or female. I'm w/you Planogirl, I can do it very well on my own, thank you.

Now as far as bringing me something to the dressing room or helping me find something out on the retail floor, I have no problem with a male sales clerk.

If I had to go a sporting goods store and get a jock strap fitted (I know you don't have to...or maybe I should stop going to that store.... ), I'd feel a bit embarrassed if a woman did it.

Would not bother me. When I was buying a strapless bra there 2 weeks ago I asked the lady to come in a see if it was fitting me correctly.

If I was the guy I would be more worried about allegations of improper conduct. Not that he would od anything wrong, but it is like setting himself up.

Really this would not bother me. I wouldn't even care if he came in to see if the bra was fitting OK. Heck I show more in my swimsuit top than I do in bra. ROFL. However, I would not be having either sex check to make sure my thong was fitting properly.
