A left over FP for a toddler

okay, I am using a lot of rider switch strategies with my next trip. So I've mainly booked FP for the adult rides and we will do the toddler rides at rope drop. Anyway, with that strategy, my three year old is left with a FP available but no one else is. If a child so young has a FP but no adult in the party does, it's a waste, right? I assume they won't let an adult through with her if the adult doesn't have a pass... but figured I would ask.
