A Hop, NO Skip, and Many Mishaps to a Disney Dream!

Thats Claire's dress!! But it's a size 6 and they do run small, so whoever buys it (if anyone here does) keep that in mind...the body part runs small. I think Claire's might be a 10.

Well, then I guess that's why it "reminded" me of Claire's costume! :lmao:

It really is SO pretty! :goodvibes

Claire always has a shirt on under it, so it does make it look different. I PM'd the link to the girl who bought her Belle dress. I know she was interested in the Mary Poppins one too and I think that size will fit her grand daughter.

I'm trying to talk Katie into a new Mary Poppins if we go in December. Of course she didn't want a new one, but she wanted to take her parrot head parasol. I said I'm only dragging that along if it's part of a costume. Now that we're back to thinking December, I might use the idea I had last year. I saw some white organza with red poinsettia on it with the Christmas fabrics. At the time I thought it would be so fun to do a holiday version of Mary Poppins. Katie liked the idea, so I'll be watching the Christmas fabrics again!

OK, I haven't caught up on the TR yet......... but I did see the photos in your signature. SO AWESOME!

Awesome updates Jen! I was grinning the entire time I watched your video, I can see why you were tempted into buying it! Now I have to know, just so I can put it in the budget, how much did it set you back???

Also, I love your suit - very cute :thumbsup2

Thats great you did the dolphins and got the dvd what a great memory to have. I'm going to show River your video after school tomorrow. he's gonna go nuts and beg me to take him. Oh well at least we get to swim with sharks at Typhoon Lagoon next month.

You look so happy in your pictures and video. I'm really sorry you lost that sd card I know it breaks your heart.

And YUCK for that kid peeing on Claires car seat!

Hello :wave2:

I've been lurking on your trip report. I am going on the Dream next May. This will be my very first cruise....I'm super excited!!! I have a question about your dolphin encounter. I was checking out the excursions on Disboards, but I did not see the dolphin swim. Is that not offered with the Disney Cruise?? If it is not offered, can you upgrade once you get there??? :confused3 Your dolphin encounter looked amazing, but I really think I want to do the swim.

Great trip report, by the way. I'm loving it!!! :)

UGH! I can't sleep, so i read a bit and now back on the computer....
That sounds like a wonderful idea. I saw on ebay some victorian boots that start at size 6 adults, so probably too big for Katie...unless you stuff them!

I can't remember for sure, but I think it was like $89 for the package with pictures, magnets, keychains and DVD....but the DVD was on sale, which brought it down to that price. I would go in thinking of spending around $100 to $120, then you are nicely surporsed if it is less. :rolleyes1

I think each picture cost around $20 a peice if you buy them seperately, the DVD alone was probably 50 or 60 before the sale price.

I am so jealous! I want to be your kid...you guys are always doing fun stuff!
I did get the coushion thing washed and it smells clean now. I washed it twice and used vinegar too. I just need to put it back on the seat now. It was yuck, but I think she has a problem, because I know she has peed her pants in school before too. The teacher mentioned that she thought the mom recently took her in for some tests.

Thanks for reading! Yes the swim is offered by Disney as well. It's the Blue Lagoon one. It is listed on the DCL site as an option to book and I highly recommend booking it as soon as you can. I think they tend to sell out. You will have so much fun.

Ok, I've neglected laundry and dishes all morning and am totally caught up! :rotfl: Well worth it!

I had to make note of all the comments I wanted to make b/c I knew I'd forget them!

The Nemo mural at Cabanas - is that mosiac? It's just gorgeous!!

I love the first shot of Claire in the pool at night, the profile - you can tell how thrilled she is! My guys are the same way - not content until they can get in that pool!!

The deck shots at night are AWESOME and wow, those are some gorgeous shots coming into port. It so makes me want to be on a beach somewhere, anywhere STAT!

The dolphin encounter looks so amazing - and I love, love, love all those pictures because of how happy you both look - you totally look like a kid again, you can just tell in your smile. :goodvibes

I had to laugh about telling yourself you won't buy pics/DVD and then caving - I do it ALL the time. But for something like this, how could you not?? I'm sure Claire will love re-watching it and remembering such an awesome time with you. :goodvibes

Yes that is a mosaic. Very pretty. She loves to swim, me, not so much. But I know I have to let her. Thats one of the joys of vacation for her. Hinestly we could probably go to some cheap motel 10 miles away from home and let her swim and she would be happy. :lmao:
The encounter was fun. Definately a once in a lifetime type thing. I don't think I ever really expected to do something like that in the past.

I'm finally all caught up! Well, with YOUR trip report........ but not with mine! :rotfl2:

The dolphin encounter looks absolutely amazing. Even if you lost some of your photos, I'm sure your mind photographed it pretty well and will never forget.

No laughter needed. She's pretty close to adult sizes, which will open up some new options. Right now she's sort of in "no man's land". Too big for the cute little kid options. Too small for the cute adult ones. But I'm not above stuffing some shoes! :rotfl2:

Oh my gosh....the video made me smile throughout the entire thing. You could tell that Claire was so excited by the way she was grinning and bouncing around. I would definitely say you got your money's worth out of the experience.

We did the swim last month. I'm not sure if I could say it was worth the extra money over the encounter (since I haven't done that one) but it was an experience of a lifetime. We were in the water for almost the whole thing (other than when we were waiting our turn for the push across the lagoon). We were able to pet the dolphins multiple times as they passed by, we got family pictures and then in pairs we were brought up to dance, kiss, hug and feed the dolphins. The dolphins also gave each of us a personal treat (mine was that he nodded to say he thought I was cute, LOL, I believe DS's was a burp and DD's was when he squirted water on her to "push" her back in line.....she laughed through the whole thing). Then of course the highlight was the foot push across the lagoon. I have to say...that was amazing. DS (7) was too scared to try it but DD (12) and I did it and loved it.

Thank you so much for your review and the help!!:worship:

This definitely makes my decision easier. Now if I can make the money portion easier.:rolleyes1

Thanks.
I know, I will stuff if I need to as well. :rotfl2:

Wow, what fun with the dolphin! I had never thought about doing this but DS would love it. Really enjoying you trip!

It was pretty neat

I love how Claire looks in the video...I on the other hand looks like a dork.

I made the mistake of turning off my desk top this morning. It has problems every so often if I leave it off, it goes into power save mode and I can't get the screen to work.
It was running slow and needed an update, so I turned it off. I should've come right back and turned it back on, but I didn't and now I can't get it on. Hopefully later today it will work, but it's a guessing game. I need to take it in, but I don't want to sped the money...
Anyways all the pictures are on that computer, along with my TR file, so until it comes back, I can't update. I think if I can't get it back o my tomorrow morning, I'll break down and take it in. And of course my laptop is giving me troubles as well.

:rolleyes1

Aren't computers supposed to make our lifes easier?:lmao: Good Luck on your computer issues!

I sure hope that you get the computer back up and running soon so we can enjoy more pictures and details.

Best of luck with the computers. I hope you are able to get them up and running again soon. I have really been enjoying your trip report and I can't wait for the next update!!
