Last November my wife and two sons (5 &7) were at the MGM shortly after opening, just walking down the first street when we came upon two CMs who gave us a very special wish. It turns out that that day was the first day of their Christmas Parade and that hadn't had a Grand Marshall in a while and asked us if we wanted to be the Grand Marshalls of the parade. 
All we had to do was to meet back at guest services a half hour before the parade started and they would take us backstage (about 10 feet) to get in our car so we could wave to everyone. When the parade came to the end, they took us to a VIP spot to watch the rest of the parade. It was SO special. We had alot of character interaction there. Cruella loved scaring my boys.
The CMs we met used our camera to take pictures of the family, gave us free fastpasses we could use for any ride that day and gave us buttons declaring that we were honorary disney citizens.
It was a very magical day and one I will never forget.
