When you call to tell them it's your birthday, what do you say? My DD will turn 12 while we're there but I feel kind of weird calling and telling them to make a note on the reservation--like we're asking for free stuff or something. Maybe I'm being silly. We also have reservations for BBB and Akershus Princess lunch (yes, she still loves the princesses) on her bday... should I call them separately and mention it?
Where can I get one of the mickey hats with ears that says today is my birthday or something like that?
We are eating dinner at 1900 Park Fare for my son's birthday. I'm going to order him a special cake for that night. What will they do for him to make it special. I know it is Cinderella and I know it's a girl thing but that is the only dinner I could get and wanted it to be with the characters.
That's a good attitude. This will be my 35th birthday. I will be in disney on my birthday for the first time. I am so excited I can hardly stand the wait. I am going into the whole birthday thing not expecting much, so whatever happens happens.
That's a good attitude.
We have been to WDW for birthdays, anniversaries and an engagement. We have always worn THE PIN for the occassion (one year my DD had an embarrasing hat too).
We got a lot of attention and good wishes from CMs and other guests.
We got the special phone calls, but did not get free gifts or our room decorated as the OP mentioned. Even for a BIG anniversary celebration which my DH had been planning for months (and, yes, the resort did know about it). We did get some extra specially decorated Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary buttons in shops (some have some hidden away in drawers in case of need).
When you think about the number of people in WDW each day celebrating something, they could not give things to every person.
So, expect nothing except good wishes and you will not be disappointed. If some extra pixie dust comes your way - so much the better.
