Well, since none of my "pickles" have been here all day, I started reviewing menus, etc., and have started a list for our ADR's for next year. It dawned on me that since we are staying a couple more days than we usually do, that I will need a couple of more meals. However, not letting anyone know what they are until you all show up! :surfweb:

I can't wait to see what they are!

My FIL is doing great!
He is looking forward to sleeping in his own bed tonight.

I'm exhausted...I'll catch you Picles tomorrow!

Kelly, sent a friend request!!

Ahhh, palm trees...I could be happy with palm trees even not in Disney! :faint:

Did you say you're in Jacksonville? I went to St. Paul's Grammar School and Robert E Lee Sr HS...two of my many 12 schools during my military brat childhood. Some nice memories from Jax - would love to try to find friends, but b/c we moved so much, cannot recall their last names. :sad2:

Yes, I grew up in Jacksonville. I went to Wolfson but my parents went to Jackson and Landon.

My dad was on tv there for over thirty years. He was on the NBC affiliate. If you look at my facebook page, I think I have several pictures of him there. His name was Ed McCullers, but he had a children's show too and was called, Skipper Ed on there. Small world, huh?

Have you ever heard the Raleigh song that the convention center uses from its promotions? Wynn's band recorded that song at my house. (He remoldled our garage into a recording studio.) They just did a new one last week for Raleigh. He also did the music for the Sugar Bowl about 3 years ago.

Well... I am off to fold laundry, and make a grilled cheese and onion sammich. Later Gators![/QUOTE]

I have not heard the song, but I will pay more attention That is cool.

Okay.. obviously, my last post did not quote correctly.

We are home from Jacksonville with 3 girls who were a tad cranky in the car. Granted, their mother was too.

I am happy to be back home in my own bed again. Now, I just have to go back again in a couple of weeks.

Hope everyone had a good Saturday. Seems like lots of fun stuff going on. :)

Not quoting everybody (couldn't compete with Heather anyway!) but thanks to all that liked my haircut. And those who didn't... you suck and you're not my friend anyway!

Kari....I love the new haircut! Beautiful color too...I was trying for that, ended up lighter and redder. My natural color is close to yours in the first pic...I think I might have a little more gray....probably why all the red I wound up with.

I actually have tons of gray around my crown, which is why I always pull it back. I used Miss Clairol medium spice brown. I think I may go a shade lighter next time, with a little more red! I loved the red in my natural color!

I'm here! :wave2:

We had an awesome day at the beach. The weather was sunny and 83 degrees... can you believe that for July in NC?!? The waves were so calm that they were hardly breaking at times. And plenty of room to spread out. We had dinner at Sanitary Fish Market for any of you that are familiar with Morehead. It was really good, but man have they gotten expensive! Dinner for 4: Wynn had a regular shrimp plate, I had the senior shrimp plate, Tucker had kid's shrimp, and Avery had kid's cheeseburger... $67! I think we will find a new place next trip! And NO, Avery did not eat her cheeseburger... she ate our shrimp. The little stinker!

DisneyMaryPoppins2sams-1.jpg

Beautiful! And I love her hair. Wynn's hair is like that. I SOOOO wanted my kids to get his curls, but neither one did. :sad2: Avery gets curly when she is hot, but then it is an absolute mess. But a cute mess...!

Janet,
Have fun!!!
Let me guess....You are going to Mary Poppins???
That was hard.:rotfl:

That was a tough one!:rotfl2:

Good news, Pickles...My FIL is being released from the hospital this afternoon!!!

Heather, that is fabulous news! :thumbsup2

Have a wonderful time. Say hi to Mary for us!

The play was AWESOME!! I simply love seeing shows! I knew this play had gotten rave reviews when it opened and it didn't dissapoint me. The numbers, esp the "supercalif, etc! and the "Step in Time" songs were so well done and chorographed. And Mary flies over the seats up to the balcony at the end. It was magical! :wizard: I cried, I just one of those emotional wrecks the tears comne so easilly. Years ago when we lived in Brooklyn and I was able to see several productions, both on Broadway and off Broadway. I feel lucky to have been able to do that. Its probably why I enjoy seeing the Disney productions so much - I get totally immersed in the shows. The boys really liked HAIR - esp my hubby. He knows all the songs and said it was fantastic (he could have been in the cast, he was singing along with everyne else):hippie:

After the play, we had dinner at a pizza restarant (John's Pizzaria). It is right in the theater district, and then we walked around a while. NY is so alive, I think thats what I love about it. There's always something going on, street vendors, performers, etc. I love visiting, just don't have a desire to live there. we went to the Toys R us, there is a gigantic ferris wheel that you can ride. However, the line was far too long a wait. So we bagged it until next time. We plan on going to visit the American Girl Place next time. (Oh, my pocketbook will be much lighter after that!):rotfl:

Love to hear them ... but I will be on later tonight :goodvibes

I DID like it, I just haven't commented yet! You look great in the short hair, I know I wouldn't look very good (and your hair is thick, another plus!):)

I was so glad that she got the curls ... my son has the pin straight hair, just like me. When she complains about her hair, I tell her I would trade with her in a heartbeat. She doesn't realize how lucky she it! She gets the curls from my hubby and his famillly.

I'm glad you made it home safely!

I'm glad you liked it. I really want to see Little Mermaid on Broadway, and check out the NYC World of Disney too.

I hope you are all having a nice Sunday. We went to a flea market this morning and then fishing. It was nice, but now I'm exhausted. I'm supposed to be cleaning, but....

Happy Sunday, everyone!

We missed Mass this morning. We were exhausted. :(

Not much going on around here.

LOVE the hair. I gave Lily a haircut when we got to Jax. It had gotten so long and looked like a train wreck. She wants it a little shorter, but I don't want to cut it shorter because she doesn't know she will be dressing as Alice soon and will not look like her if she cuts it. She LOVES Alice and has a cute little Alice costume to wear to b-fast. Maybe after that surprise we'll make it shorter.

Hope everyone has a good day! xo

Morning Pickles!
Typical Monday here. Chris started baseball camp today. He was excited. I'm trying to get into the swing of things at work, b ut an kinda feeling blah.

Morning Pickles!
Typical Monday here. Chris started baseball camp today. He was excited. I'm trying to get into the swing of things at work, b ut an kinda feeling blah.

Everyone was missing in action over the weekend. It was kind of slow. I wrote my "mini review" of Andy's trip to CBR, washed a lot of laundry, washed two cars and hosed down the house to get rid of those awful cobwebs, spent last night watching one son play a softball game and then the other son; then didn't sleep until youngest son sent me text message at 1 a.m. to say he was back at school (he didn't leave here until 10 at night after softball...you still worry when they are 21). Also looked at some restaurants for ADR's for next year.

Tucker goes to Model Rocketry camp on Sunday. He is very excited, too. I am just hoping he comes home with all his fingers! :scared:

I saw your mini review... good job. I was watching to see if the haters would show up to your thread. I did notice a couple missing...

Where did you decide to eat next year?

And for those wanting to lose weight... I heard of a new diet on The Doctors this morning that is guaranteed to help you lose weight. You are supposed to eat naked in front of the mirror! It is supposed to work because you are so disgusted with yourself that you don't eat junk food! The warning was to NOT follow the diet for eating out or Hloiday dinners! :rotfl2:

:scared1: That would certainly work...I'd throw up from looking at myself naked.

I hope Tucker has fun at Model Rocetry camp...sounds fun!

Yes, there are three that come to mind that have not said a word. Gee, what a surrpise!

Well, we've definitely added The Wave and Ohanas for dinner. We are trying for the first time a signature restaurant as well and trying to decide between Jiko or California Grill.

Honey, if I stood in front of the mirror the mirror would crack in disgust.

Have you been following the thread about has "Disney lost the magic?" If not, go to it, scroll down to about page 16 or something like that and read the letter the woman wrote to Robert Iger about her stay at the Grand Floridian. I almost fell off my chair last night and I can't even repeat what my husband said after I read it to him.

Yummm...I;m hungry now...my tummy thinks you can't go wrong with any of those...the only one I've actually done is Ohana, but hte rest are on my "I want to try it soon" list.

I was reading that thread at the beginning, and then got disgusted with it. I guess I need to find it again.

We've never done Ohanas. I think we did Kona Cafe years ago when we stayed at the Poly, but I keep reading all these great things about Ohanas so I want to try it. I'm getting tired of the same old places all the time.

I want to try Ohana's, too. We did the Luau last year and the food was incredible, so I expect great things from Ohana's!

I posted on the "...lost its' magic" thread on page 21. That letter was unbeliveable!

:worship::worship::worship: at your post over there!

I haven't been to Ohana for dinner since the menu change a few yrs ago..I know some people liked it better before. It's a really cool experience though, as long as you are semi-outgoing.

We love Ohana for breakfast too...It's great to sit there and look out the window at the castle, and then hop the monorail over to MK. And of course, I :love:Lilo and Stitch, and they are getting harder to find out together.
