of course i don't mind you posting the pics! i can't believe we missed each other like that. crazy! oh, and check this is out. we went to the lady & sons for the first time back in 2003. paula deen had her cooking show on food network, but wasn't nearly as big as she is now and she was walking around the restaurant talking to people. this was at the smaller restaurant she had down towards city market before she opened up the big place on the corner she has now. she was sooooooo sweet....just like she is on TV. she just doted on me and gave me a big hug. although i do have to admit....i have a personal space issue and i was kinda uncomfortable in this picture! of course i didn't say anything because it was PAULA DEEN and i sorta felt like i was with my grandmother or something!

Now, I am officially jealous! Lucky you! Oh, I just LOVE her! I always say I wish she was my mother-in-law! I was so thrilled to meet Bubba, so I can only imagine meeting Paula or one of her hot sons. I've got a thing for Bobby! He's a cutie!

I am so glad I got to be a part of your Trippie! How fun! I've been telling everyone about our *ALMOST* DIS encounter!

when i was positioning all that stuff on the table, ray looked at me and said, "what the heck are you doing?" i said, "it's for my trip report." he just shook his head and walked away. then i said, "i got a new bra for the trip too, but i'm not gonna take a picture of that." of course he was like, "why not????"

My DH often looked at me like I was crazy when I took pics for my pretrip report.But you should have seen my dad's face when I first took pics of his food for my trip report.

The mouse is great Dawn...thanks a lot!! I thought about packing last night but went to bed at 8:30!! Working and being pregnant is wiping me out. I even get a 2 hr. break in the afternoons and I am still beat. Should only take me a few minutes though. Just stinks that I have to put all my bath stuff in a ziploc bag instead of my travel container. Better then waiting for ME to deliver my bags Sat AM though!!

ray hated it when i took food pics last time, but they the end of the trip he was tilting the plates so i'd get a better angle!

just thought i'd share what i made with you guys. i took the itinerary i had made and had it laminated....yes, i'm THAT person. anyway, here it is.....

i whited out the ADR numbers. i'm not worried about my TR readers.....just those evil lurkers. don't get me wrong...there are good lurkers, too. but the evil ones do exist and we have to protect ourselves from them!

it's not as pretty as some i've seen, but i'm proud of it. see.....here's me with my "look, mom, i got an A in spelling on my report card" picture!

i actually didn't have it pulled back in a pony tail because i had just gotten home from work. that may be why it looks different. oh, and back in my may TR i had blonde highlights. now it's just all brown. thanks though!

ray already knows i'm insane so he doesn't think anything of it. and YES on the underwear! i got a new bra at target the other day and then i had gotten new undies at old navy a few days before....not that you needed to know that. i think i'm all ready. the only thing i need to do is organize it all and do laundry. and of course stop by a convenient store on the way to florida and swipe some sugar and creamer packets!

you're welcome! i've had it done for awhile now...i just decided to print it off and get it laminated the other day. who am i kidding.....i already have a potential one ready for my april trip! i still have to do laundry so you're ahead of me. it'll probably be busy for me, too. it always is right before i leave to go on vacation!

And I love your itinerary, I never thought of laminating it! Thanks for the great idea about that! i think i've made a decision on the car. i just couldn't decide. i mean, on one hand you've got the CRV which is bigger, has the disney decorations and i'm more used to driving it....and on the other hand you have the focus which gets better gas mileage and has very low mileage. they're really about even when it comes to everything else. the focus is roomy enough for two people. and it has a great stereo system with a ipod hookup. but i do love my CRV. so DH and i were outside today and i brought it up and said, "i wonder which one has better tires?" so we measured and the focus's tires are WAY better than my CRVs (looks like i'll be tire shopping soon!), plus it's not due for an oil change for another 2,000 miles. the CRV is due any day now. the only thing is i'll have to get a car air freshner for it because i'm sure it smells like a boy!

so this is what i have left to do:
-take the doggies to the vet for their annual checkup because sherman will run out of medicine while i'm gone if i don't (he's epileptic and takes phenobarbital)
-get my birth control prescription and sherman's phenobarb prescription filled
-get a hair cut
-go to the chiropractor (gotta get an adjustment before i screw up my back some more on all those rides!)
-clean out ray's car and buy an air freshner for it
-PACK!!!!!!

that's it, people! SOOOOOOOOOOOO exciting!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks! as aaron (on the peeps thread) says, slow and steady wins the race. it's taken me 6 months to lose 25 pounds (3 pounds to go!), but i think that means it's more of a permanent thing. i can see a difference, but it's the people who haven't seen me for a few months that really make the comments. i can't wait to see my gyno....i know, that sounds weird, right? well, last february i made the comment to her about how i'm trying to lose weight and she was giving me some suggestions. she was like, "for a snack, eat about 6 almonds." what??????? SIX almonds???? you've got to be joking, right? that just sounds ridiculous to me and not something i can do for the rest of my life. so when she sees how much weight i've lost and (hopefully) says something, i'm gonna say, "yep....and it didn't have anything to do with almonds!!!"
