They thought about stopping in Savannah. My mother LOVES Paula Deen. Anyway, Dad said he would not want to wait in that kind of line for any meal. Very cool that you saw Fairy Tale Bride. I'm hoping to meet her and others at LTT on the 5th before that group does their MNSSHP. We're doing MNSSHP on the 4th, but plan to stop by and meet some of them on the 5th before they go to the party and we head to Epcot.

I'd love to go to The Lady and Sons someday, but probably never will...y'all! I very much enjoy watching Paula cook on TV, and I'd like to taste the famous fried chicken in person! Along with a bite of about every dessert she's ever made. I know that the pictures I've seen of Savannah are beautiful. I'm glad you got to take that mini-trip.

it was so funny that i saw another DISer in a non-disney place! i wish i would've realized it was her sooner! believe it or not, i've never had paula's fried chicken. chicken on a bone grosses me out.....once i see it i lose my appetite. so i tried not to look at DH's plate!

FUN!!! I've always wanted to go to Savannah! We even stayed in Hilton Head once and didn't drive down! I KNOW!

Anyway...sounds like a fun weekend and your carriage house looks perfect. Lots of good drinking and eating! I can't believe you ran into a DISer! Couldn't you just kick yourself when you think you know someone but don't say anything?

I'm glad you mentioned your tiny tummy because I have the same concern for free dining! I haven't eaten much since last Christmas and I don't know how much I can hold...even if it is free! I know DD will split some lunches with me.

Thanks for posting your mini-weekend-report. Your babies are adorable and so cute with the little kids and sleeping on each other in the car.

Car....which car are you taking to Florida? Did you decide? I vote CRV.

i wear a size 8 usually and that's what i got and they fit fine. they stretch out a little after you break them in, but just enough to wear they're really comfy!

tell your dad that he doesn't have to wait in any line. they can do what we always do. i get up in the morning and go down to the restaurant around 9:00 and get in line (so your mom could do that if your dad refuses). the hostess comes out at 9:30. once you move through the line to the hostess, you tell her how many is in your party and your preferred dining time (this would be for lunch) and she tells you if she has that available and what time to come back. so then you can leave to do whatever and come back at the assigned time. usually you don't wait more than 10 minutes once you come back and check in with the hostess. i think dinner works the same way - the hostess comes out for dinner reservations at 3:30 and tells you what time to come back. although i do think dinner gets a little more crazy than lunch. it's actually not too bad. i literally parked the car at 9:20, got in line and was outta there by 9:45 and then we came back at 12:45 for our 1:00 reservation. SO worth it!!!

thank you! luckily my DH was raised with dogs, so he can't live without having them in the house. and since i'm such a dog lover, it works out.

you guys should go sometime after a disney trip. it's not that bad of a drive....you just drive over towards the right side of florida and take I-95 straight up past jacksonville. let us know if you ever get the notion....we'll meet ya there!!! oh, and jasper would be a BIG HIT there.....her cute little face would have them all gushing!

savannah is a gorgeous city......those pictures don't do it justice. we've been so many times before that i didn't take any scenic pictures, but the old houses and parks and big old trees with spanish moss are just breathtaking. and there's lots of history there. it's such a neat town!

last shopping update!

i was off today so i decided to go to target and get some things i needed for the trip. i think this is gonna be pretty much all i'm buying......the only thing left is cream and sugar for my coffee and i think i'll just "borrow" a few individual packets from a convenient store on the way there!

anyway, here's what i got.....

clockwise from top left: glow bracelets/necklaces for spectromagic and if we happen to go to the glow party at pop on 9/22, a pedometer i got for $5, mousse for tara (she asked me to get some because she couldn't find a travel size and doesn't want to check any luggage), lotion, qtips (duh), tapes for the camcorder (i already had 1 blank one), my favorite gum because you cannot buy gum ANYWHERE at WDW, chapstick, blister bandaids. i also got a case of dasani water, but i left it in the back of my car.

i already have all the other travel-size stuff (toothpaste, shampoo, etc.), as well as pre-filtered coffee packets, ziploc bags for storing wet ponchos, sunblock and ibuprofen. am i missing anything that you can think of that i haven't already shown you guys in previous updates?

tara - is that mousse okay? sorry i couldn't find the brand you wanted! i hope you don't have bad hair days at disney because i bought the wrong thing!!!
