a girls-only birthday weekend w/ the mouse! MY TR HAS MOVED...LINK IN MY SIGGIE

I'd say go with dh's car. You can always rectify the disney sticker issue while you're down there!;)

I'd say go with DH's car! Get some Disney car stickers for the windows and stuff before you go and decorate it!

:car: .....transportation issues..... :car:

i need help! i'm trying to figure out which car i want to drive to disney world.

what do you guys think??? i need input from the experts! ;)

DH's car for sure! Why? Purely the mileage issue ~ If the mileage on each car was close I'd say the CRV for more room, more comfort. But not wanting to put *extra* mileage on my car has always been a big deal to me!!

Okay, I'm caught up.

I say DH's car, simply because of the iPod thing.

That Peter Pan shirt is AWESOME! I wonder if I have time to order it and have it get here before we leave in 11 days. I'd have to find a green tank too. But I love that shirt. I need some crocs too, but that's an expense that will have to wait for another trip.

Can't wait to see more clothes pictures. :)

Okay, lets do the math. You are going to travel 1000 miles round trip.

Honda CR-V: 1000/25=40 gallons of gas * $2.60 per gallon = $104.00
Ford Focus: 1000/28=35.71 gallons of gas * $2.60 per gallon = $92.84

So, you're looking at about a $12 difference in gas. I wouldn't mind spending $12 to be more comfortable and to feel safer in a larger vehicle. The mileage on the Honda shouldn't be a big deal as long as you keep the oil changed at the specified intervals. That's just my 2 cents on the matter.

First of all...LOVE the toe cleavage! :lmao: Love the color choice too (I have MJ's in that very same colour:)

Take the CRV...you asked...I am telling. ;) Since it is already high in mileage...just go for it! You are familiar with the car. It has all of the comforts you like and it is already high in miles...why put on extra miles on the newer car?

BTW...how lucky are you that you leave in just days...?:cool1:

i saw that you're going back.....HOW EXCITING!!!!!! should be fun....and it's an all-girls trip, right? what a lucky baby - twice in her first two years of life!

Actually, Brooklynn was born in "the year MeMom decided to go Disney crazy", so she's going to be going 5 times during her first two years. We went this past summer and will go again next summer with the whole gang, and then we have three girls' trips scheduled - October, December, and March. We won't be able to do that probably ever again, but it is a barrel of fun to be able to do it this year. We got annual passes and are making the most of them. I figure, tomorrow may never come, so go on and have that Disney fun! After this year of many trips, we'll probably do something more normal, like one or two trips a year, or maybe three if we're lucky, but certainly not five!

I just read your first post, and I had to comment. Your friend Erin and my DH almost share the same birthday. He will be 30 on November 7th! Maybe we should go back on their actual birthdays to celebrate - you know, just to be thorough! :rotfl2:

Hey! So glad to hear you are going back to disney! I have to admit Im so jealous!! Have a great time and I cant wait to hear and see more!!!

Okay, I'm only through the first page, but the Girls' Only intrigued me, so I will finish reading tonight. Just want to subscribe right now so I don't lose it. :)

I'm glad that you are going and are going to write a report. I've always wanted to try it but I've had several people that have eaten there (we live about 50 minutes from Savannah) recently say that they were disappointed. I would think that the food would be good because it looks good on her show.

i've actually been there 4 times before and it's always been good. i've ordered the buffet 3 of those times and the 4th time i got stuffed shrimp. it was all delicious. but i think anywhere you go you can have a bad experience....just depends on your luck. the sweet tea there is out of this world....it's just sweet enough and she puts a mint leaf in it. and the hoecakes.....good lord.....so good!!! i'm drooling now. ;) i'll take pics though and share them with you so you can decide for yourself!

Okay, you've sold me on it. We will have to try it now. We go to Savannah at least once a month and have never tried it:confused3 .

here's the key. go at lunch instead of dinner. it's the same buffet with a cheaper price and it's a buffet.....so you can eat all you want! they don't take reservations, but i usually go over there around 9:15 a.m. the hostess comes out around 9:30 and starts taking names. there will be a line to put your name on the list. you just tell the hostess how many and what time you want to come back. if she doesn't have exactly the time you want available, there's usually something close to it. you just come back at the appointed time and you usually never have to wait more than 10 minutes once you check in. so it's sort of like reservations in a weird kinda way!

I'm going to have to get down to Savannah one of these days since we're in GA now. I went as a kid with the Girl Scouts, but haven't been since.

I hope you and your DH have a great weekend!

Thanks for the tips. I wouldn't have known to put my name on the list and the lunch buffet seems like the way to go. I looked at the prices on their site and it isn't to expensive. It's actually cheaper than eating at Olive Garden. Ya'll drive safely and enjoy the weekend.

i'll wave at you when we're passing statesboro!

We're about half an hour north of Atlanta. We moved here from Florida last year. Savannah has about the only coastline in Georgia, right? I am MISSING my ocean. And if I remember it right, Savannah was beautiful. I'm thinking it might be nice for our anniversary next year. Hmmm. Thanks for that thought. :)

Hope you guys have fun!
