DH is given IVig by IV and large doses of Prednisone. The IVig treatments are very expensive, the last time he needed 4 doses. I hope they can find out what is wrong with Chis and correct it soon!

I was going to say the same thing. This happen to my youngest son when he was about 18 months old.

Wow thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!

I just got off of the phone with my sister and the bone marrow biopsy came back negative for leukemia, thank goodness! Today the doctors told his wife that they suspect that it is ITP, my sister didn't know if he's been officially diagnosed yet, his wife was calling back tonight to update them.

luvdzny and Dan Thank you for posting the info and the link! I sent the link to my sister who's going to foward it to her in-laws.

I'll post with an update tomorrow after I learn more.
