A few weird things we saw people do on our trip

I know for sure that I did at least two things last week that would be worthy of posting about on this board if anyone witnessed them. My husband did one weird thing involving a Brazilian tour group that at least 100 people witnessed. Gah, I can't take him anywhere. :lmao:

Oh, this is funny! When my husband really gets mad( it rarely happens) well, we had our moment once at Disney, His lips get real thin. My kids just back up. It's that moment, we all get quiet and feel for the person that is getting ready to get unleashed on. I had to work niceness double time on this one. The person deserved every minute of it, but oh well, we were suppose to be having fun! We went the rest of the trip saying," are we having fun yet?" If we saw someone else losing it, we said that loudly and laughed, they just looked at us as if we had lost our minds. We had a wonderful trip!

C'mon- spill it! popcorn::

Ok, but just between you and me, don't tell anyone. :rolleyes1
After dealing with the "antics" of a particular tour group, who also happened to be staying at our resort, something snapped in that dear man's head and he decided to make things tough on them for a change. So as he heard them approach (how can you not hear them?) he walked out in the middle of the road and just STOOD there. Would you believe that instead of walking around him like any other group of people, the guide stopped the group and walked back to my husband and asked HIM to leave the group?
I never laughed so hard in my life and I thought for sure my poor mother was going to dis-own us all. :lmao:

No, he didn't. After being asked to move, my husband got this look on his face like someone insulted him, his mom, and his country. You would have had better luck pushing mountains around. The guide got frustrated and rather than just move the group on, he physically tried to push him out of the group. Meanwhile, all these girls were pointing and laughing nervously. My husband told the guide that if he didn't get his hands off him that he would have a real problem and the guide finally moved the group.
Naughty, I know, but very satisfying. :dance3:

I am laughing as I read this, but I really don't understand the group not walking around??? How many times I sidestep groups or families that stop in front of me? Thanks for sharing. I won't tell.:rotfl2:

:rotfl: Your husband may be my new hero but I think I need more details so I can get a full mental picture - where exactly did this "incident" occur and what color was the guide's flag? Inquiring minds have to know!!:lmao:

I was talking to a CM the other day at reservations and we got talking about the complaints they sometimes get. she told me she had had a call a few days before that from a woman calling from a park screaming about how hot it was! i couldn't believe it. But the CM said, just imagine how unhappy the woman must have been to call reservations and be on hold for 15 minutes just to complain about God....

I live in Tennessee. The past 20-30 days we've had a heatwave that has claimed numerous lives, destroyed the crops and we've been declared a disaster area. I would check the weather in FL just to see how hot it was there and it was usually a ten degree (at least) difference (we stayed over 100 degrees for weeks). Today, we finally got our real first rain.

Let the chick call me and complain about it being hot. I've had a bad day and I've got a few things I'd like to say.

Then on Sunday, we were entering MK and a family ahead of us went in and was complaining that the castmembers should wipe down the finger sensor for germs. Doesn't this person realize all the germs she will be touching inside the park or let alone in the bus. I know some people are germophics.
It does gross me out too to see the greasy looking finger scanners but that is why we pack the hand santitizer!

The guy with the beer would really have annoyed me! I would have told him to step out of line and talk to the security guard he demanded to see. I onder how long he stood there.

If you saw a pair of adult women w/ 2 teenage boys (usually in matching shirts) and got sick of hearing us say "And that is why......WE CAN NEVER NICE THINGS!" that was us and we apologize...but it diffused many an arguement before it there was bloodshed. :thumbsup2

Last Wednesday we were entering AK and going thru the bag check. A guy had a cooler full of beer and they told him that it was not allowed in the park. He was upset that he couldn't bring it in there and asked for security.

Oh come on - he wanted it to truly be the "happiest place on earth" - or maybe he just took that saying to much to heart....:rotfl:

Were you staying at CBR and did the tour group always wear turquoise shirts? If so, I have my own story about them.

Let's not judge the beer man too harshly. Maybe it was a fine Young's Double Chocolate Stout... :) But I have a feeling it was Colt 45.

I wonder if I drink the water in It's a Small World......?

Duff Beer for you,
I'll have a Duff,
You have one too..."

Naw, we were at Pop, and these girls were all in different clothes but had on orange lanyards. Their flag was also orange.
Now, did you say you had stories? :3dglasses

Grrr....growl...OK OK...

First one: we were waiting in line for the safari in the AK, which was moving relatively nicely (we didn't use the FP because the wait was less than 30 minutes). There were the 6 of us, myself and my 2 kids and my relatives in line. Waaaaaaaaaaay up ahead were 2 Brazilians and waaaaaaaaaaaay behind us came the rest of Sao Paolo, complete with baby strollers, mothers-in-law, neighbors, and a couple of sherpas thrown in to carry all their stuff, and they wer "con permisso"-ing their way up the line - in America we call it cutting - trying to get up with the first 2 as if they were Lewis and Clark. Well one unfortunate Brazilian ran her stroller into the back of my leg (and I really am sure it was truly an accident) while doing the con permisso dance. I turned to her and said "excuse me?" and she said "no speeeek eeengleeesh" and I said "no speeeeek spaneeeesh" and the crowd got no further - so sorry the 2 at the top of the line had to go on safari by themselves...
