A few Tom Tom questions

sorry if these have been asked before but here we go:

do we put it in hand luggage or main luggage?

When we upload USA maps do they wipe out the UK maps? If so do we then have to purchase the UK maps again?

Is there anything else we need to know?

We put our TomTom, holder and charger in our hand luggage (I don't want to risk loosing it and we need it as soon as we leave the airport anyway.

When we bought our TomTom we got the 910 which had the US maps on it already. We have however updated those maps since we bought it and it did not wipe out the UK maps (It wouldn't anyway if we didn't have the UA maps in the 1st place.)

We used our TomTom last year when we drove all over California and we were never lost, it was great. We are certainly using it next week when we are in Orlando!

Always put that sort of thing in hand luggage as you wouldn't want it getting lost/broken. Depending on the model you have you shouldn't need to delete the UK maps to load on the US maps. If for any reason you did have to take off the UK maps you could back them up somewhere and copy them back on again when you got back.

I used mine for a 5-state trip in the last couple of weeks and wouldn't have been without it.
