A few tips I will definitely use again...

One more tip I haven't read on here...I am bringing a small pair of scissors this time. There are always tags to cut off, things to trim, & I have never had scissors with me. I am bringing kid scissors.
Forgot about that! You can buy fold-up scissors too - they're less than $5 and you can get a nice pair in the sewing dept. Or you can get a cheapie pair for a buck sometimes at the dollar store or Walmart.

still reading getting great tips

This may have already been posted somewhere. When we were at our off-site resort we had all these extra towels; if any of us showered twice before the next set came we couldn't tell which towel was which so I put each of our names on a clothespin and clipped on the towels. I pack all the "consumable" type stuff in a collapsable cooler. We use it to keep stuff cold (and organized) poolside. As we consume stuff, there is room to pack souvenirs. I travel with very tiny manicure scissors. They are perfect for cutting off tags, etc. I found the back pack of my dreams in the luggage section at Target. It is very well made with lots of pockets (that zip from both sides - very important to me). Plenty of room but closer to a purse size. I can fit a water bottle in it, and I always put the cold or frozen water bottle in an old tube sock so it doesn't get anything wet. Works like a charm and also keeps it colder longer.

We went during summer rainy season. I wish I had thought ahead of my suggestion.

Pack an extra pair of socks in a ziplock bag.

Our socks got soaked during a downpour. It would have been nice to have dry socks to put on even if our shoes were still damp!!

I actually keep a miniture Purell bottle clipped right to my purse at all times. I just refill it with the larger version that i keep at home, always prepared with 2 boys. (I found it in Target in the minitures section.) I have found a few useful things there, like small packs of handwipes etc.
Back to the envelope with the dining budget. I actually keep my entire days money budget in an envelope marked with each day of the vacation. That way I can have extra for the next days budget if I underspend one day, and I never have a problem with overspending. (as I usually do) Each morning I grab one envelope for the day and keep the rest in the room safe, or in the car sometimes.
I have tried the M&M tubes and had problems with them popping open in my purse, so I will be trying the medicine bottle this time. THX :goodvibes

Great tips. We buy glow sticks from the dollar stores lots of them. When we go to firework shows or fantasmic and the kids want all that light stuff they are selling, we break out the sticks and they get busy making bracelts., necklaces. They stick them in their hair, their shoes, they just go crazy. We always have extras so they can share with kids around them.

i always bring a few diffrent sized ziplocks with me. My dd loves popcorn i buy the container and pour it into sandwich bags so she can munch all day on it! :)

These are great tips thanks all !

I absolutely love this tip. My husband is usually my biggest "problem child" when it comes to what he is wearing, and this is a great solution to that! I could even do this for his work clothes! thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

Everyone laughs at me for this but... I always pack kids clothes in ziplocs, but also wanted to get DH's clothes ready so I wouldn't have to tell him every morning he did not match. Since I recycled shorts for him, putting outfits together would not work. So as I was packing, I laid each outfit on our bed--- shorts, shirt, shoes, etc & snapped a pic w/ the digital cam.
I printed the pics up 4 to a page & taped them to the inside of his closet in our travel trailer (you could tuck them in your suitcase)

This way DH & kids always looked good & I didn't have to worry about anyone!

Gosh, I hope you guys don't slam me for this!

In the morning my kids like ovaltine, so I pack some in a ziplock and make it up in the morning with milk from the fridge.

Also, we do not like the coffee supplied in the room, so we bring our own peets coffee, pre ground, and either buy mini filters or bring paper towels to use as filters. then bring our own splenda and use the kids milk. Real strong coffee to start the day. I believe the deluxe and moderates supply a coffee maker in the room.

With the Magical express, I plan to pack all my daughers princess gowns in a hanger bag and put all the accessories ( hair pretties in a ziplock, shoes, socksin a ziplock, tiaras) with them. This way when we unpack everything stays together.

Instead of bulky diaper bag, I put 3-4 diapers, wipes put in to a small zip lock, cream into a plastic 1 gallon zip lock. Through it in the storage compartment of the stroller. This way I don't need to get the big bag out to simply change a diaper. I pack another bag that can get buried in the stroller for extra clothes ( just in case the diaper leaks/weather changes) pre-packed gold fish, other snacks, sunscreen, ect.

Thanks for evryones suggestions!

There are a few NEW, good ones in there! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I purchased one of those collapsable pop-up hampers for my laundry. I like keeping it in a corner and having somewhere to toss the dirty clothes. When I take the kids to the pool, I just take it with me and do the laundry. It also has a front pocket for detergent.
