How busy are the early entry days??

I've been working on our schedule and have not booked early entry days in the parks (there from Oct 15 to 22nd) and am wondering if it might be worth it for me to do that?

the other Q I have is how long does it typically take to do AK, Epcot, MGM?? I've left 2 days for Mk and only 1 day for Epcot, going to do downtown Disney the same day as either MGM or AK, one day for whatever we want to do and then one 1/2 day for typhoon lagoon.

Thanks!

1. I don't have an answer for EE.

2. For one, I am a theme park commando so however long it takes my family to do a park may not work for you.

It took us one day to do MK and MGM. It took us two days to do Epcot and AK. In Epcot there is a lot of walking and the World Showcase just looked too far away (LOL). AK was hot and crowded when we went so there was no way we were doing that entire park in one day.

In order to do a park in one day you have to constantly keep moving. Minimal bathroom breaks, make use of Fast passes and know what you want to do. Also going in the off season can help you achieve one dayers.

October means shorter park hours so it might be worth it to do the ee. We went in july and did not do the ee because we heard that everyone does and the ee park gets filled up pretty quickly. bit in october the crowds are not as bad as in the summer so you might want to consider it. You can do each park in day as long as you have a plan. You need to look at a map before hand and map out your day. You will also have to use the fastpass. If something doesn't look to appealing to the group then skip it. Some people make the mistake feeling that they have to do everything (which is not possible if you have time restraints). Do the Disney Marketplace on the day you to AK since that parks closes earlier than the other parks. You said you put aside two days for MK. Remember if you have park hopper passes that if you finish MK in 1 1/2 days you can go over to another park for the remainder of the day.

We did EE a couple weeks ago. AK on rainy Monday wasnt busy at all. MK on a nice Thursday was very crowded...the most Ive ever seen it for EE.
I like to get the extra hour at AK, crowds or not, because we usually only spend 1/2 day there so that hour helps. On our recent trip heres what we did(times apporximate)...

AK, 1/2 day...8:00- 12:30

Epcot, 1 day...9:00- 7:00(just leaving midday for lunch at ESPN)

MGM, 1 day and 1 evening...9:30-5:15...Then the evening was about 5:00-9:30 for dinner at MM, 2 attractions & Fantasmic.

MK, 3, 1/2 days for attractions Thur 8:00-1:00, Fri 9:00-1:00, Sat 9:00-1:00. We then returned Sat night around 7:00 for Spectro and returned to the Poly to watch Wishes from there.

i wouldn't skip ee days...shorter hrs mean less people( usually) so at least when we have gone in value times, the parks have not been that much mor crowded on ee days than any other time. if for some reason you find they are, you canalways go else where but still got the extra boost for when you do return to that park another day.

depending on the age of your kids and interests: we have always done at least 1 day and an evening at epcot( usually more), 1 day has been plenty for mgm, occasionally go to ee in addition just for the tot, ect. then leave,1 day and maybe an ee for mk (or later in the day for a fireworks visit), 2 days this past trip for ak..we fill out the rest of the days at epcot and usually our kids go there every night for illuminations unless fireworks at mk.

we do dtd on an off time, usually we go on the first night we get there, our out of park day or some evenings we don't want to see fireworks or illuminations. it's open til 10 or so ( at least in winter) so you have plenty of time post parks.
