Hi,

A) You get as many points per year as the contract you purchase provides for. I.E. a "200 point contract' with a use year of say Sept. will "award you" with 200 points every year on the 1st of each Sept. (you can bank and or borrow points from the year prior or year ahead of a the current year - and of course you have to pay your MF's)

B) Depends on the lenght - which is determined by the home resort you purchase - ie/ AKV & SSR will expire in 2054, as opposed to the other older resorts who's contracts expire in 2042

I thought AKV was 2057.

You're correct -- sorry, not enough coffee into me yet this AM!

It's a good deal correct?

The prevailing wisdom is generally if you plan to visit WDW each year or two, and have in the past stayed in Moderate on-property hotels or the deluxes - then it's quite likely to save you money over time. One of the biggest advances is the effect of being insulated from the inflation of what hotel rooms will cost in the future.

Think of DVC as a prepaid vacation plan. It forces you to take vacations and is mostly paid for (except for the annual member fees). If you go deluxe and go often, you will benefit. If you prefer values or moderates and go occasionally, it will wind up costing you more.

In the end, you wind up spending a lot more money at Disney.

If you are thinking about trading out to other timeshares, it can be done. Most people recommend using DVC for Disney vacations and getting another timeshare for your transferring out.

If you would allow pm's to be recieved in your signature, I could send you particular web sites to check out explaining more of the program or pm me?? :goodvibes
