Hi, I am starting to get everything out to pack and I am not sure about a few things:

1. At night if I put my 7yr old son in slacks and a short sleeve dress shirt, will he be ok or does he need a sweater? wasn't sure how cool it is in the restaurant from the a/c?

2. I just told my husband he need a sport coat for Palo and he wasn't very happy about that. Can he wear something other than a sport coat? Dress shirt alone no tie?

thank you

Your son will probably be okay in the outfit you described. If he is extremely cold natured, you might toss in a sweater. My DS has always been fine in short sleeves on board. I do take sweaters for DD and myself, but we're usually in sundresses.

Now the theaters can be a different story. We got in the habit of grabbing towels off the housekeeping carts when we went to the theater, cause it was pretty chilly.

You don't say if you're on the Wonder or the Magic. I think that there is a higher expectation for dress on the Magic, so most men would wear a jacket to Palo there. However, that doesn't mean that all of them will. On the Wonder, the overall theme is more casual, so less of the men will likely wear a jacket to Palo (or Triton's for that matter). Short answer is that they will let you in at Palo without a jacket. How comfortable you will be (i.e. how well you will fit in) will depend on 1) your feelings about being "underdressed" and 2) which ship you're on.

I feel like I have to add a Dave from Marietta disclaimer on this one that these are my opinions only, and your mileage may vary!

I think that if I went to Palo for dinner, I would wear a shirt and tie, but NOT the coat. You gotta remember, that's what I'm wearing to formal and semi formal night too. I make no appologies!!

There was one man..in shirt/tie only at Palo..he looked out of place. Everyone dresses very nicely for palo. Is your hubby not participating in semi formal/formal night either..or are you on the wonder????

He doesn't need a tie..one of those cool silk t shirts and jacket/sport coat and slacks is what hubby takes on the wonder. Very easy to wear, carry, and much more comfy than wearing a shirt/tie.
