On with the honeymoon!

This was going to be a half and half day. One half Disney, one half not Disney. The first half would be at Animal Kingdom. Joe had never been, so we were looking forward to it. However, we were dragging a little bit all day long, which slowed us down quite a bit!
We had breakfast at Capt Cooks again...I really liked Capt Cooks, even though it could stand to be a little bigger. The renovation they did turned out really good(even though I only saw pics of the old one), but size wise, it got a little crowded during meal times. No big deal, I was happy to have my breakfast on Disney property, even if it meant that I had to sit on the floor
We caught a bus to Animal Kingdom, and immediately spotted the beautiful, huge Christmas tree outside.
Joe got creative with the camera-he wanted me in the pic but he also got the whole tree...
We were pretty much in a lazy mode, so we didn't really know what we wanted to do first, so we walked around awhile, and took some pictures.
Expedition Everest looked amazing...the detail, even from a distance, was great!
The Tree of Life
We decide to head over to Everest first. I was a little worried about the lines, but the standby wait was only 30 minutes. Worked for me, as I had read about how good the theming in the line was. Everybody was right! There was so much to look at, but we only saw a little piece of it. Once we got on the ride, it didn't seem like we had waited very long at all. The ride itself was really good...and had a lot of good surprises. I won't give them all away, you can read about them if you haven't already over on the other board!
Next we were off to Kilimanjar Safaris. This is by far, one of the best. We didn't have to wait for too long, thanks to so many vehicles running at one time. It blows my mind the number of acres this ride covers! We saw lots of animals, which I was happy about-it was pretty hot that day, so I wondered how many would be hiding out. It was overall really good, even thought it was difficult to take very many pictures....we were in the back of a very bumpy truck, and it's difficult enough with just that-but then add in everybody else trying to take pictures..that makes for a lot of elbows in the way! But we got a few
After the safari, we just walked around for a while, admiring the animals all over the park.
You know, if you think about it, these guys really do have it made. Not only do they have a great job of sitting around all day and entertaining guests, they are living in Disney 24/7! Hmmm...how do you get a job like that?

(Nope, I'm not jealous at all!)
Some of those VERY lucky animals:
We ended up in Dinoland USA, where we rode Primeval Whirl. I'd never been on this one before, but I wanted to give it a try. Joe and I had been to the state fair earlier this year, and he made me ride the EXTREMELY rickety wild mouse there. It was completely terrifying, and I'm not sure how I lived through it(I'm not one for those state fair rides-at all)! So when he gave me the excuse that he didnt' want to ride Primeval Whirl because the spinning would make him sick, I told him to get the heck over it and he didn't have a choice!

The ride was great....It's like a wild mouse and a Tilt-a-Whirl all wrapped into one. I'll never forget...at the top of the lift hill, right before you drop, there is a ding, kind of like a microwave ding...as in "ready!" Don't know why I found this so hilarious, and I laughed until I cried the whole way through the ride!
It was lunch time again. Seems to me, every time we turn around, we're eating. And eating some more. Hmmmm oh well!

We had lunch in Dinoland at Restaurantosaurus. I must not have been very hungry, but this was one of the not so good meals we had on our trips. I think we both got burgers, they just weren't doing much for me. I wasn't too worried about it, probably because it was rather hot outside, and my appetite tends to drop when I'm hot. Hmmm, mabye I need to move to Florida where it's always warm-I won't eat so much!
We got done eating, and went over to Dinosaur, which I had never been on. I was TERRIFIED! I knew it would be scary....but I must have screamed like a 5 year old! It really is a neat ride, though. It amazes me how the imagineers come up with things like that. I've watched the Travel Channel(or something like that) special so many times that show how they made Dinosaur, and every time I sit there an watch it amazed as if I've never seen it before!
After dinosaur, we decided we both liked Primeval Whirl so much that we would ride it again.
Joe after the 2nd time riding(looking pretty worn out! lol)
I suggested riding again,(3rd time!) and got this reaction:
We were both hot and exhausted, so we decided to call it a day at AK. We didn't see any of the shows, which I was disappointed about, or really take the time to walk through the trails, but I know we will be going back on our next trip. We just needed some down time.
On our way out, we saw A really pretty waterfall somewhere in the park(sorry I don't remember where!)
We caught the bus back to the Poly, where we walked around the resort and took some pictures.
One of Joe's favorite spots at the Poly!
This one would have come out better if he didn't have the bookbag on his back, but it'll work until the next trip! We planned on re-taking the picture, but time flies by....
That night, we had arranged to spend some time with my Mom and Grandparents, who had spent the morning/afternoon in Epcot. We originally had plans to go to dinner at Jiko, but we cancelled them, needing some serious down time. They stopped by to pick us up, along with some dirty laundry, my dress, and other various wedding things they would be taking back home for us. We ended up eating dinner at Outback, and then heading back to their condo, where we washed some clothes. I thought I had packed enough, but I didn't expect it to be quite so hot, so we were going through shorts rather quickly, and we still had another 6 days to go. While we were there, we sat around reminiscing about the wedding, and pulled out our wedding cake, which had been in their fridge! We wanted to eat as much of it as possible-we knew it wouldn't survive their 11 hour ride home, and I already had too much carry-on luggage to begin with. It still tasted delicous...I ate 2 pieces! I would love to have some more right about now, along with some Fairy Tale Cuvee. Maybe for our anniversary trip(or sooner if we make it back before then!) This was also my first chance to see some of the wedding pictures. I was thrilled to hear that Papa had taken some shots on his camera....they really did bring tears to my eyes.
Once the laundry was done, it was getting really late, and I couldn't hold my eyes open much longer. We really had been going non stop for several days, and it had caught up with me. It's so hard to take a break at Disney, even though that's the key to survival if you're there for more than a few days! They drove us back to the Poly, and we told them goodbye. They weren't leaving until Saturday, but we wouldn't see them until we got back to Reidsville. Just like with Joe's parents, I hated to see them go. It had been great having a family vacation with everybody together! We dragged back up to the room, and crashed. We had to get some sleep...we had our Segway Tour at Epcot the next morning to look forward to!
Up next: Jumping off the Segway, and hanging out with my Dad and Stepmom!
