A Disney Fix of a different sort...

Walking through Costco the other day I find myself in the meat section. Behold I found smoked turkey legs. (Not something you see every day around these parts) Tried them a couple days ago and they just weren't the same... the skin was chewy (almost rubber-like) the inside tasted like ham (not bacon) and it was full of bones and gristle. But I still loved it.

On a different note I found they sell turkey legs at the nearest amusement park from here (Canada's Wonderland). They're more pricey (what do you expect from a place that charges 3.50 for water?) and about half the size. Haven't tried them though...

So anyone else see Disney food @ home?

This is great! We have season passes to Hershey Park and when we were there this morning, I noticed that they have character meals. All I could think was that having breakfast with a human sized Hershey Kiss wouldn't be nearly as appealing as having breakfast with Lilo and Stitch!
They also sell turkey legs and they're pretty good, although I prefer to get them when it's cold out.

1) The turkey legs at WDW are unique.
2) I think WDW is the only one to infuse them with a salt brine.

has the BEST turkey legs - huge and very tasty! They have had them for years and years.

Also, many of our county fairs have Dole Whip. I always plan on getting one, but once I get there and see all the other great stuff, it somehow slips to the bottom of my list. And honestly, there is hardly anyone standing in line at a Dole Whip booth. Corn dogs, deep-fat fried snickers bars, mini-donuts ..... now THAT's another story!

BTW - I was at our local Costco yesterday and saw they had Disney Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets. I wonder if they are the same stuff served at WDW? Thought I should get a bag for DD to try out since it looks like she'll be eating a lot of them on the kid's menu during our August free dining trip!
