I would LOVE LOVE to do something like that. I love sending hand-written letters, and I'd love to send pixie dust in any ways that I can. One day I would love to actually be able to send some things. For now, I'm trying really hard to think of little ways I could help out. Hopefully something will come to me. I'm not sure what your stipulations are on "hand-me-downs" I know they can be germy or allergy-ridden, but I know I have some extremely gently used toys and/or stuffed animals I could send.

I don't know what the stipulations are on hand-me downs...I am not a moderator for the Big Give, you would have to get approved on the big give site first, then ask any questions you have

*EDIT*: Sorry, I missed your replies within the quote. GKTW does seem fairly simple to sign up to volunteer, I looked into it a few years ago. I'd like to think I have pretty good credentials too! (ignore me, that's my strange sense of humor) If I ever work down in Orlando I hope to find time to volunteer there regularly. Sounds like you had a pretty fun Saturday. I'm going to have to go see Brave soon! I managed to find some of my missing work, thank goodness, literally 2 years of very hard work and stake in two honors programs were at risk. By what felt like a little miracle, I found one sheet that I thought was lost forever. So it seems the crisis may have been averted. I've been feeling a bit ill tonight, but hopefully tomorrow I will get to go watch an agility competition with my parents. Please let me know if I'm rambling too much, I tend to be a talker! I swear I won't take any offense, I'm a bit used to it really!

yup I would too, I throw plenty of gutter balls...now when we bowl on Wii I throw lots of strikes

That is great that Meghan had her first sleepover. DD9 was invited in May to a sleep over birthday party but she didn't really want to sleep over so she declined. I'm not ready either for her to sleep out yet either

I think we are headed to downtown tomorrow to see the Wonder. according to google maps is a 3 mile walk from the Ferry. wonder if I can get the girls to do it? with a stop at the Aquarium? since we have a pass and all thanks to my wonderful cousin

not a good afternoon fever stayed around 101-103 still that right now, just got her settled (hopefully) for the night....got sick a couple times and still very achy...hope she is better in the morning and she doesn't share with me too

I am so sorry to hear that Megan was feeling so poorly yesterday. Sounds like a bug that was going around here for a while...I don't feel like those bugs should be around in the summer. Hopefully it will blow over quickly and she won't give it to you! You both need to be healthy to enjoy your summer!

was a lonnnnnnnng night, she woke up twice and tossed and turned the rest, fever is down to 100 this morning, no appetite yet, but no more sickies either...I got very little sleep, so see a nap in our future!

want to get the sheets washed, always sleep better with clean sheets, other than that we are going to lay low for the day!

fever is under 100, kept breakfast down...but she is not a good sick kid...happy she isn't sick often, maybe that's why she doesn't know how to handle being sick...grumpy girl is going for nap soon!

Glad her fever's down and she managed to keep down her breakfast. I think my mother would say the same thing about me--- I'm not a good sick kid. And I have plenty of experience with it too. Hope she wakes up feeling better and can get back to feeling good. I am glad she doesn't get sick often.

Busy day ahead, but stopped by to say I hope Megan wakes up completely well today! Loved our chat on the phone and it inspired me to ask for help on our PTR...tell me what you think.

As for the FLINTSTONES....
They don't play reruns of them here...BUT, I DO have all of the seasons on DVD...yes, yes I do!!! (Or should I say PETE does)!My children love the show, how about yours Lisa and Andrea???? Or have they not seen the reruns either??? They aren't THAT much younger than me you know...


ANDREA!!!! Those Beatles outfits are to die for! WHY don't you come live with me the month before we go to Florida...Oh I have SOOOOO many ideas, lol!!!

Alexa has never seen the Flinstones. No clue if they still show reruns anywhere -- perhas on the History Channel?

So share your ideas. Has Lisa outgrown everything from last year's trip? I am lucky -- Alexa always stays a little stringbean so she can wear her clothes for about two years.


D~: All the solid knits were from Hancock and the flower was from etsy. I also realized I didn't post a pic of the shirt -- she had John and George on the front (her two favs) and Ringo and Paul on the back.

NOSTALGIA: Sorry, if you have posted your name I don't remember. Anywhoo, I know a couple of people have sent previously worn outfits to BG families -- You just have the moderator contact the family and ask them if it's OK first. And for something like a stuffed animal as long as it's clean and free of odors it may be sendable -- ask one of the mods first though.
