A Disboutiquer's "just another trip report" --THE END! updated 8/28

Had to throw these pics in:
th_IMG_0332.jpg

Just read your report! YOur kids are so cute! I especially love this pic!

Great report!

YAY!!! I come here expecting an update and I get TWO!

I feel for your husband. When I was a teenager, I was pooped on by a bird at Cedar Point. That is one of the grossest feelings EVER!

I liked your crocs so much I bought myself the same pair. But, they didn't fit me right. So, I sent them back. Then, Teresa showed me how you heat 'em up and mold them. So, I'm going to buy another pair. How's that for a long, unecessary story?

I love the picture of the boys making the totem pole face. Too cute!

That Jayden looks like such a good big sister!:lovestruc

My kids have a curious potty issue. Everytime we go somewhere, they IMMEDIATELY have to use the bathroom. I think I was in every bathroom in WDW when we were there in May. :sad2:

Tessa has this same issue. But, I have started charging her $1 for every unecessary bathroom visit. This has GREATLY cut down on her "I have to go to the bathroom NOW!!!"s :lmao: I've also started charging her $1 for every time she comes into my room at night to wake me up for something silly, such as "You forgot to give me my vitamin" at 2am. I've only had to do it once! Am I a mean mommy, or what?

Dude, Actually, I was thi nking this is an awesoem idea. My kid have no $$, but maybe I'll charge them disney stickers. :scratchin

Love the update!!! I can't wait for the next one!!!

Your picture of your feet made me go buy a pair of Mary Janes too! I love them!!! Even my husband said they were cute!

Love the outfits, so cute! And as gross as it is, it is good luck to get pooped on! LOL!

:rotfl2:

I ordered Disney minnie janes for everyone (from Surf and Dirt) but somehow I messed up the order and ordered one instead of two. Where was my head? So now I gotta come up with a plan...like see if I can find something around here. argggggg pirate: I hate when I am stupid!

Cute beach pictures! Sorry DH got pooped on. We got pooped on by an osprey the other day while we were playing tennis. Don't they see us?

I can't believe I just found this TR!! It's GREAT!!!

Your family is so gorgeous. I got teary at the pictures of your children hugging the littlest...and your oldest holding the little one's hand at Ohana!

I sometimes worry that if I have kids of my own, my step daughter will not feel like a sister b/c she'll be 9 or 10 years older. Seeing your little one with her older siblings was very comforting!

I love the outfits as well!! The ruffle socks your little one wears are too darling!

What a great report!!!

can't wait for more!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Take Meeeee!

You know it's good luck to get pooped upon by a sea gull...you should know this. What with all the seagulls in Utah (the state Bird).

Love all the customs! Cute LEGS!;)

Gimme some of that yummy Ohana bread! Not that I ever eat carbs either popcorn::
Okay, next time we take you and you write the TR! :rotfl:

Great trip report.

Those cute outfits make me wonder which boy I want to dress up in frills.

I'd vote for the youngest

great update and pics.

I loved O'Hana even though we went for breakfast.

I have been pooped on.

Haven't we all?

I would not take a Disney vacation and not include Ohana's in our meal planning. I absolutely love the food there too!
I really love the beach pics....and you didnt take a pic of your DH hairdo? :rotfl: I live at the shore and those stupid seagulls are the worst....tourists feed them and they will take food that you are carrying in your hands. Its scary when a bird that big lurches after you :scared1: and of course you drop the food and they then take it
Can't wait for more!

Oh, I should've taken a pic of DH's hair! :rotfl: Stay tuned for more seagull encounters! :sad2:

Thanks! I have lots of pics of those two hugging. They  each other.

Jayden really is a good big sister  she loves to teach "school" with her younger siblings as her pupils. They love it as much as she does! I like your idea of charging money for unnecessary nighttime interruptions--do you think that would work with Lily? :rotfl: I had to stretch and adjust my crocs a little when I got them. I have very wide (duck flipper) feet and the mary janes are not as wide as the regular crocs, but I love them now. They fit great.

Dude, Actually, I was thi nking this is an awesoem idea. My kid have no $$, but maybe I'll charge them disney stickers. :scratchin

Dude!, I like your new avatar Angela!

Love the update!!! I can't wait for the next one!!!

:rotfl2:

yay crocs! Mine worked great at Disneyworld, especially on those rainy days! Of course you won't have any of those on your trip!:thumbsup2

Love the outfits, so cute! And as gross as it is, it is good luck to get pooped on! LOL!

Allyson :)

I'll be sure to tell DH that! :rotfl:

Disney Minnie Janes? Now I need more crocs! :lmao:

Cute beach pictures! Sorry DH got pooped on. We got pooped on by an osprey the other day while we were playing tennis. Don't they see us?

Oh, I think they see us all right!

Your kids have the cutest outfits!

Thanks, it was fun making them (and stealing my ideas from the disboutiquers).

Hey, glad you joined us! I LOVE your TR!!!:worship: My friend (sugarbees on the dis) has a family with older kids, step kids. lots of ages etc. She had a baby not long ago when her oldest girls were I think 10 and 11? They LOVE having a baby sister! All 3 of my older kids dote on the baby.

Wow, a long post!   I love it! Thanks! And congrats on the big promotion! :yay: Now is it just me, or is Peter Pan way better at DW? I have been to DL many times, but I don't remember half that stuff there? And wow, talk about getting wet on GRR! (oh, that's a cool abbreviation!) I either skip that ride or wear a poncho. I don't love getting wet on rides! My (big) kids  California Screamin'! Hopefully we will get to go to DL in June. My nephew is getting married in L.A. Unfortunately DH has no vacation time, so we're still trying to work it out. I don't want to drive that far (10-12 hours depending on pit stops) all alone with 4 kids in the car!
I hate driving anyway.

Hehe, yeah - I tend to fall behind and then swoop back in and do a mega-catch-up :D Thank you about the promotion, it has been an interesting transition, but rewarding. I have to agree about Peter Pan, it is a longer ride at DL, with WDW's everything just seems shoe-horned together.

GRR is a great abbreviation, and I'll take your advice and avoid it unless we go on a sweltering day and REALLY need to cool off ;) Next time we do DL I'm going to make sure California Screamin' is running for sure. DL in June? Very cool Bummer about DH not having any vacation built up - same situation happens with my DW too :( I hope you guys can get something work out but I can understand not wanting to make that drive with just the kids. It is about 12hrs from here with short pit stops. Oh, congratulations to your nephew! :thumbsup2

I had contemplated us going this year too, but instead we've invested in a pop-up tent trailer and have scheduled several camping weekends with friends this summer. Going to go biking, and hiking and swimming and all that :D

And speaking of swimming, on to catching up with your family's fun at the Poly!

The beach looked beautiful and the kids seemed to have a really good time. I'm sure it was hard to get them out of that water. The swing also looked very relaxing, nice "kicked-back" shot ...until the poop attack! OMG! Those seagulls don't just poop a little bit either. I can understand him wanting to pack it in after that :lmao:

Well you had to wait to get seated, but hey - you were first! Funny pics of the kids doing their 'totem' poses. The dinner spread looked really good and it looked like a nice table next to the window. Cool that the tow of your kids took part in the festivities. Poor DS5, prolly got worn out at the beach.

I'm glad it was such a great experience for y'all and that hubby is on board for staying there next time. Lookin' forward to hearing about the Pirate and Princess fun! pirate: princess:

I'm here...I'm here! GREAT TR, girl! SOOO many cute pics! Getting a little teary eyed...wishing we could go re do our trip...but do it NOW!

:thumbsup2

Still waiting on the cruise TR...hehe! :rotfl:

just dropping in to say hello.

I did start reading your trip report before I left for my trip, and I thought I had posted to it but obviously not, so here I am. :)

We had the line-butter problem at CRT both times we've been.

I think part of the line-butter problem is the check in process at CRT. I suspect that the family in front of us probably thought I was trying to butt in, but it was only that the CM had said we needed to go into the picture room, and I was so intent on following directions and getting away from all the people packed around the check in counter that I didn't notice that another CM was blocking the way into the room I'd just been told to enter.:confused3

This is such a sweet dress, love it!

So I worked out a compromise with DH. He can't get time off in June so I will just fly out to the wedding--maybe take DD10 if she behaves herself and not do Disneyland, BUT we get to go in October when the kids have a break from school--and it will be DS5's birthday, so I'm happy, I just need to have a disney trip on the horizon! We bought a pop-up tent trailer 2 summers ago and we LOVE it! We only get to go camping a few times a year though because of DH's school and work, fortunately we live at the mouth of a canyon and have gorgeous camping about 25 minutes away from home!

I'm here...I'm here! GREAT TR, girl! SOOO many cute pics! Getting a little teary eyed...wishing we could go re do our trip...but do it NOW!

alrighty, thanks for catching up on the tr! redo what trip? The one where we all went to Disneyworld 7 years ago? YES, let's have a do-over!

just dropping in to say hello.
hi Scott--see I just can't crank 'em out like you do! :rotfl: but I'm working on it right now.

I did start reading your trip report before I left for my trip, and I thought I had posted to it but obviously not, so here I am. :)

Thanks! Our line-butting problem at CRT was that there was a nice organized line waiting for check-in, but some people acted like "we have reservations so we should go to the front of the line" :confused3 and would but in front of us--or they would pretend they "just have a question" and end up checking in :headache:

Okay, where were we...after a lovely dinner at Ohana we hopped back on the monorail and went back to MK for the PPP. It was right around 7pm so the "regular crowd" was getting herded out. We walked the red carpet through the pirate fog and emerged at the locker where we had stashed our costumes earlier in the day. I, who had so carefully packed a vacation's worth of outfits in individual ziplocs, planned every outfit to the point of actually making many of them, made matching hairbows for every moment of the day--yes that I--messed up a little on the costume packing. :scared1: So much to my horror, DD2 was wearing red minnie dot pants and shoes underneath her Cinderella dress!!!! I know--the HORROR! I had made a skirt and t-shirt for DD10:

a little bit pirate:

a little bit princess:

The boys wore their pirate costumes from Halloween. DH had his Jack Sparrow football jersey and Mickey pirate ears. I had my pirate shirt I made myself for Halloween. People laugh and tell me it is like the Puffy Shirt from Seinfeld. Well it should be! :snooty: hmmm...can't seem to find any pictures of me!

Once we were all changed and ready to party we made our way up Main Street. We had to stop at the top and just look around. It was fun to see all the people coming in in their costumes.

I can't get enough pics of the castle lit up!

IMG_0532.jpg

We then headed off for Tomorrowland and our first loot stop:
X marks the spot!
IMG_0481_edited.jpg

It did not take us long to get over the whole treasure stop idea. We did not want to wait in loooong lines for a plastic bead necklace, then line up and do it all again. We went to MHT in Disneyland in October and those candy stops went MUCH faster than these plastic necklace stops! We stayed around in the area near space mountain for a while. There were a bunch of games for the kids to play--and win a plastic bead necklace. There was a dance party going on. There was a line for photos with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto! It didn't look too long so I waited with DD2 while DH took the kids to play games. THAT WAS THE LONGEST LINE EVER!!!! The characters would take a break every 15 minutes and just all disappear at once for 5-10 minutes! Finally they would all come back together. This happened several times while we waited. Those of us in line wondered where was our break? I swear it took half the night! I was askeered I would miss the parade!!!

Next up: The parade and fireworks--LOTS of pics!

We did make it to the parade. DH managed to get us GREAT seats! It was a really fun parade. We loved it!

After the parade we walked around and went on a few rides. I couldn't wait to see the fireworks. We staked out a spot near Liberty Square. I was worried it wouldn't be too great, there were some trees around, but I could not have picked a better spot! Now I had always heard about Tinkerbell, but had never seen her fly to the castle. I really wanted to, but I just wasn't even expecting it at the PPP fireworks so imagine my surprise when I glanced up and saw Tinkerbell fly to the castle! It made my day! It was so cool! The fireworks were great. They started off with princesses:

I think this one was Cinderella:

ah, it survived!

The PPP was fun. The treasure stops were not much, the character lines were LONG, but the parade and fireworks were worth it all!

Up next: Day 5: Epcot & Garden Grill

Hi, I just found your TR and have loved reading it so far! Great pics!:goodvibes I had wanted to write a TR for our Nov. trip but I kept putting it off and now it's too late...

LOVE LOVE the outfits!!! Where oh where did you find that darling t-shirt for your older daughter?! It's PERFECT!!! My step daughter would love it! I love the skirt as well!

I thought your littlest looked so cute with her minnie dot pants/cindy dress! She was very couture!!! princess: She was expressing two different sides to her fashion personality!

Isn't the parade FUN?! I think it's the best parade I've ever seen at Disney! The fireworks are pretty amazing as well!

can't wait to hear more!!!

:goodvibes
