Hello! We were first time cruisers so I thought I would give a little review for those perhaps planning their first cruise. There were a lot of things I LOVED about our Disney Cruise, and there were somethings I would have changed. Lets start with the bad and get it out of the way and then move on to the GOOD!

Bad:
1. I didn't like having only 1 soda station. This is just a particular for me - if you were at the adult only pool you had to walk the entire deck 9 to get to the drink station.

2. Sea Days - I didn't feel that there was a whole lot to do on Sea Days. We did manage to fill the hours, but it felt like long days to me. Keep in mind we are childless - I'm sure there was plenty to do if you had kiddos.

3. The New Menus - some were better then others.

Good:
1. LOVED the spa, especially the rain forest room.

2. Our Cabin was plenty big as a Cat. 12 interior.

3. Our destinations were wonderful, and every excursion I booked through Disney was top notch.

4. Desserts - WONDERFUL DESSERTS!

5. Cruise Staff - great at entertaining us adults. Everyone should check out Rockin Bar D - especially 80's and 70's night.

Glad to hear you really loved the cruise despite a few minor negatives. We've cruised Disney 5 times & another one coming up on June 5.
The Drink Station: It has improved a whole lot since last year: Before that they didn't offer the soft drinks, you would to have to PAY for them when not at a meal. And being that we eat SO MUCH on the cruise, I don't mind the walk to get the exercise & it's fun to walk & see people & enjoy the ship.
Sea Days: I LOVE because that's the time you can truly relax & not be on any schedule to be at a certain place at a certain time! My husband & I are childless too, but had no problems finding things to do to fill up the time.

This is just another way of looking at things.Hope that you get to enjoy another Disney Cruise--it's habit forming!

So glad you had an overall good time.

Just have to add as one who has cruised other lines - just not DCL yet - that even having a drink station that has anything more than iced tea is a total luxury regardless of where it is. I would have loved to have had a drink station on our last cruise during which I was pregnant. I spent almost as much as my husband did on ordering sparkling water just to have something different than plain water all day long.

I am also a big fan of sea days to just sit and relax - I am really looking forward to deck 7 as we like to find these out of the way areas to sit and read. Cruises are so go-go-go-go during port days that its so nice to have a little break in between. (my only complaint about cruising - the hectic life of port days)
