As I enter the building I am immediately stopped by 2 women wearing white and light blue. OMG IT’S THE DREAM SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had PrincessV’s cell# with me and I called her to get over to One Man’s Dream but they were just entering the park and couldn’t get over there. Lord knows what I must have sounded like.

Honest? That was beyond cool! Would any ordinary friend think to phone you across the park to get your fanny over there for seom Dream FP's?? I think not. Post another score for the DIS friends! I just plain sucked that there was no way we'd ever have gotten there in time.

It was a great meet and it’s nice to meet the folks behind the username.

Ditto So much fun!

Also, I have to mention the one woman I saw in the park and again on the boat. She had a black dress on, ok, nothing to write about. Then there was the bright green headband, ok still nothing too outrageous. Then there were the bright green and black striped tights.

I SAW her!!! The thing that really got me was this: HOW could she stand wearing tights in that heat???

Now, I have heard some good things about Flame Tree , and I thought I would give it a try. I won’t be bothering to go back there anytime soon. YUK!!! I had some sort of sandwich and it was horrible.

BT/DT. Bleahhhh. I don't get all the rave reviews.

Day 6, May 3rd…


Another breakfast from the BC Marketplace today, have to say there is definitely enough sustenance to get your day started here.

Today is Typhoon Lagoon day. I haven’t been since 2004 and I can’t wait to try out the new water rollercoaster. I get there a few minutes after 9.

PSA time, if you are staying onsite this is one EMH that is worth taking advantage of!

I use my AP to get a discounted pass and on my way in break my water wallet thing that I got at the $ store years ago. Now I have to buy the Disney one for like a million $’s. OK I think it was like 7 or 8 but still it is plastic box on a string.

I put my stuff on a lounge chair in the shade and head straight to Crush N Gusher. Two thumbs up Imagineers. I love this ride, especially #3, as there are 3 rollercoasters. I love how they have the conveyor type thing that pushes you off.

Next up the big slide, Humonga Kowabunga. Ok, I have come to the conclusion that I am too old for these slides. First to get up there, there are tons of steps, but they don’t all go up. GO up 3 , down 2, go up 5, down 2. Why don’t they all go up, for all that’s holy??? I finally make it to the top and boy it wasn’t worth it I felt the need for my ortho and gyno when I got off that thing. OUCH!

Next I did try one of the storm slides, which were a bit easier, but on this and the last one, you can’t wear your water shoes, you have to hold them, or at least that is what you are supposed to do. Just as I am about to take off I drop one. I get to the bottom and the lifeguard, is I think you dropped something. UM, yeah, I sort of think so too.

I did all the tube rides next, except the big family one, as that is one I would have felt silly as a solo.

After all that stair climbing I am ready for the lazy river. I ended up taking 2 trips around and I even dozed off for a while. AHH, vacation, nothing better. UNTIL… At one point I sensed one of those photo pass guys and I am thinking, is he taking my pic? Cause if he is I am not happy. Sure enough he tosses me one of those bracelet thingys. OK, listen up, Puggymom does not like having her pic taken while in a bathing suit. You really think there is a woman, other than those Victoria Secret models, that wants her pic taken by a stranger while wearing a bathing suit. And now you think I am going to spend $$ to savor that moment forever. Um no,not happening.

After that I did spend a bit of time in the wave pool and then snoozing on the lounge chair.

I really didn’t feel like eating here, so I took a quick trip back to BC for a shower and then headed to DTD. I love Earl’s BLT’s. Yummy! So that’s where I headed for lunch. After that I went to the Pooh shop where they have lots of pet souvenirs. I got a stuffed Pluto’s paw and then headed to Ghiradelli’s. A girl needs her dessert.

So there I am sitting outside by the water with my Ice cream and I look over and see the DVC booth.

Need to back up here, see last September I was supposed to take the tour, but blew it off as I was only in WDW for 4 days. I definitely have time today and I have been lurking on the DVC boards for a while now.

I take the tour, where you also get free ice cream at the end (yep I had a 2nd ice cream, hey it is vacay) and a $15 gift card. No, I didn’t write a check on this day. I did see the AKV model and SSR. Both very nice.

I am taken back to DTD and I realize I forgot the business card holder to exchange. Oh well, let me take a look anyhow. They do have the one I want, so I will have to stop here again. I have been wanting a watch for a while now and haven’t seen one I like though. UNTIL, today. I stopped by the watch counter and ooh, looky there. I’ll take it. It is a very simple gold watch with a small Mickey head where the 12 should be. Looks great with the ring.

Now remember, I wasn't going to buy anything this trip, as there isn't anything I need... WANT is whole 'nother thing

It also dawned on me that my goddaughter is turning 7 in a little more than a month and loves HS Muscial. So I did pick up a couple things for her b-day too.

Ok, I am done here, enough damage. All I can say is good thing my AMEX pays cash back. I think I may have financed my next trip with the points I earned shopping on this trip. How's that for FDM (fuzzy Disney Math)

I do like to share my vacay's but I love my solo's just as much. It wasn't until I had to go to a conference in Orlando by myself that I realized how nice it was to tour solo. So glad my boss made me go

I went on something like this at Great Wolf Lodge in PA and it was fun. I am sure Disney does it better. I am really looking forward to trying it this time!

He was a young lad, grew up with no mother or sisters.....has no clue about pics of bathing suits

Its just a guess, but I would think that they have those steps set up that way for breaks. If they went straight up and somebody got to hot or locked their knees causing them to pass out, well it could be a bad domino effect.
