Still reading along and taking notes. We've never done the Backstage Magic Tour. (...waiting for our youngest to be old enough ) It's on our WDW to do list. Your pictures are really great. I especially like the Flower & Garden shots! I can't wait to read more...

You know I never got into the pin trading, but I have some how managed to accumulate some (from tours, etc.) HMM, maybe I should sell them on EBAY to finance my next trip.

Day 4, May 1st continued…

So after lunch my foot was throbbing pretty good and I decided to head out of the park. I make it to the car with no trouble and start heading back to the BC. As I get on the main road pass the Hess station I realize my foot is not throbbing as much. Well let’s go shopping instead.

I don’t know what comes over me when on vacation, I had already decided there is nothing I need this trip, and I don’t spend money like this at home, but once I am on vacay, all bets are off.

Off to DTD. Let’s hit WoD. First AP holders get a discount and 2nd I have a $50gift card, oh and 3rd, my youngest niece’s b-day is the following week and she loves all the princesses. I grab a basket, which is not a good sign if I am not going to spend a lot.

I start off in women’s and pick up 2 shirts, yep both for me. OOH, the jewelry section, let me just take a looky look. Uh-oh there’s that ring I almost bought last year at Contemporary. Oh here comes a nice saleslady. Hi, do you have that ring in a 6. Oh you do, I would like to just try it on. I tried to take a pic, but it didn’t come out. It is a band made up of Mickey Heads. Well it just looks fabulous on me. OK I will take it with my AP discount.

I still haven’t purchased the shirts as I am thinking about them, I have some restraint you know. I head over to the pen and office stuff and pick up business card holder for my desk and a couple pack of the gel pens for the staff. (which seemed to be a hit, I love walking around the office and seeing all these Disney pens being used, it’s like having a touch of home at work)

I guess I should look at some princess stuff while I am here. She did say she wanted a princess globe, so I found one of those and then I got her a princess t-shirt (she is heading there next month with her parents, brother and sister, so she can wear it on vacay, which made her very happy ) I look at all the stuff near BBB, but it was just too much foofoo. Plus she is coming next month and they may be taking her to BBB (don’t get me started on the fact that they don’t have any ressies other than the room and the luau.)

OK enough damage, I go to pay and since I flew down, I asked to have the globe shipped. Well the very helpful CM, suggests I put in my checked luggage. Since what is being shipped is rung up separately, blah, blah blah. No I do not want to put it in my luggage, please have it shipped. Thank you for your helpful suggestion though. Any yes I bought the 2 shirts, they will look lovely on my future trips.

I behaved myself in Arribas brothers and walked out empty handed. Hey look there’s Ghiradelli’s and I should rest my foot anyhow. MMMM, ice cream.

Off to the Christmas store, I love this place, picked up a couple new ornaments for me and I got my petsitter one too. I had it personalized with #1 petsitter. (this is the woman that comes in during the day when I am at work, yes the pugs are spoiled) I never know what to give her for Xmas. I always give her an AMEX gift check, but I like to get an actual gift too.

My foot is bothering me again, so I decide I should go rest it for real and head back to BC and elevate it for awhile.

So sorry about the foot. How nice that you have someone to come take your babies out during the day. I have a doggie door at my house and then an underground fence so my baby lets himself out. Unfortunately he also takes all his toys outside too. On a pretty day I will come home to a front yard that looks like a two year old lives there with toys all over the yard. LOL

Day 4, May 1st continued…


After a rest at the BC, which my foot really appreciated, I headed back to Epcot. I really wanted to see American Adventure after being backstage and hearing how it all works. Had to enter through the exit as a private affair was going on in the rotunda. I want to be invited to a private affair. I think it would be so neat to have Disney catere something, anything, especially in one of the parks. Speaking of, I did see quite bit of large group things going on all week. The night before I noticed that millennium building by England was opened and a large mass of humanity was going in all dressed up. I guess my invitation just got lost in the mail.

Anywho, after AA, my foot was still a bit sore and I hadn’t eaten yet . I stopped by the Pastry shop in France and got a sandwich. Yes folks they do have a couple of non –pastry items in there. I also got a chocolate chip cookie to wash that sandwich down .

Very boring night, I took my sandwich and cookie and went back to BC to rest the foot some moreand watch TV. How's that for excitement folks.

This is where the ease of solo traveling really helped me out. I didn’t have any pressure to keep going and was able to properly rest my foot. If I had kept going all day, not sure how it would have felt the next day.

Next up, Why yes I did know it was the Year of a Million Dreams.

Although you did show some restraint and just waited a bit before purchasing the 2 shirts. At least it wasnt an impulse buy!! And after all you didnt buy that ring last trip, that counts in my book.

Day 5, May 2nd….

Woke up today and the foot looks and feels great! Today started with a quick breakfast from the BC Marketplace and then for some reason I decided it would be nice to walk to MGM. Yeah, I don’t know what I was thinking. Anywho, off I went and it really wasn’t that bad, but I wouldn’t do it again from BC. I did learn one thing when walking on the BW where they just washed it off. The crocs can get slippery when wet. I almost wiped out. Other than that a very uneventful walk. I get to MGM before rope drop.

Again, more rude people. If no one is moving, why do you feel the need to inch your way up. TOT and RNRC will still be there, c’mon people. There was this one preteen kid who got in front of me and his mom was trying to too. Well the Jersey in me kicked in and I stood my ground. I could tell Mom was getting annoyed and I was just waiting for her to say something, but she didn’t have the nerve. Once the rope dropped I power walked past that kid, Yeah that’s right eat my dust punk. I know not very Disney, but the rudeness this week was getting to me.

Get to TOT and it wasn’t open yet, so I grabbed a FP and headed over to single rider line at RNRC. Got on very quickly and when I came out ToT was open, so I walked on. I really love this ride, it has the best theming. Next I decided to hit GMR and was amazed at the line, but it moved quickly. Again, being a solo helped here as I was able to squeeze into a car as it was about to leave and not have to wait for the next one.

I have been wanting to check out One Man’s Dream but for a variety of reasons just haven’t made it. Today was the day, OH BOY was it the day.

As I enter the building I am immediately stopped by 2 women wearing white and light blue. OMG IT’S THE DREAM SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dream Squad: How many in your party
Me: uh uh oooone
DS: Do you know it’s the year of million dreams?
Me: uh yeeeees
DS: We would like to give you this Dream fast pass.
Me:YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I start jumping around like a idiot, telling them I have been looking for them all week. They are just laughing at me telling me, that you have to wait to be found you can’t just look for them. Yeah, well, I don’t care, I won something! They were so nice and even posed for a pic with me while the other took the pic.

I continue to go through the building , but my head was so not there. I will have to stop by here again, I did take pics, but mentally, it’s a blur. I do remember they had miniatures of all the castles from around the world

I had PrincessV’s cell# with me and I called her to get over to One Man’s Dream but they were just entering the park and couldn’t get over there. Lord knows what I must have sounded like.

I did realize that I didn't hear anyone else yelling YOOHOO. So on my way out, I asked them if I was the only one that jumped up and down yelling. And I was , jeez people, don't you know you were face to face with the Dream Squad. They thought it was great and said people like me make their job fun Glad to help out Dream Squad.

I really love my solo trips. It's nice to share your trips but I love the freedom to just to something on whim and not worry about anyone else.

Yeah so maybe I was a little jealous of those dream fastpasses, I cant lie. But glad that if someone else had to get them it was you and not THEM!! SO, do you get to use them at any park or only MGM, and can them be used any day or just the day you get them?Oh and do you get to keep it when you are done?

Ok so how long did it take to you walk to MGM? and what were you thinkin??
