Firstly - as we haven't got a laptop, is there anywhere at OKW we can go online and, if not, where's the best place?

Secondly - how much would it cost to change a trash and towel day into a full cleaning one?

Bexx, I'm not sure about OKW online availability. I know that at innoventions at Epcot there are computers that have internet access. I'm not sure that you would want to try to tap into any personal information on a public computer though.

I think the cost of a full cleaning is $25 for a studio up to $40 for the larger 2 bed unit. I'm not sure about those prices though. I'm sure someone else can give you some more exact figures. Erin

I can't really help with the first question, as I've never stayed at OKW. But, you could visit any of the Convention Centers (BW, YC, GF and CSR) and get on line there. The price is hefty, about $15 for 10 minutes, but if you only need access once in a while, it might be worth it. Also, I've always noticed that most resorts have Internet Phones located near the Front Desk. I don't know of OKW has them, but this might be another option, and slightly cheaper than the Convention Centers. And finally, if you have a car, you might be able to drive off site to a Kinkos, or something like that and get internet access cheap.

You can't change trash and towel service into a full cleaning, you just have to schedule a full cleaning. You can't cancel the T&T and use it like a coupon for full cleaning. You'll have to pay full price for the full cleaning, even if you cancel T&T. The price is $25 for a studio, $30 for a one bedroom, $40 for a two bedroom, and $60 for a Grand Villa.

I've never stayed there, either (but, GOSH....I hope I get to...it looks GREAT!!) but, there is a picture in the OKW slide show (like number 75 of 92) that shows two computers. It seems there may be computers in community hall. I don't know how to link the pic, but go to allearsnet.com, click on "accomodations", and under OKW (home away from home resorts) you will find a great slideshow. If you look through the pics backwards, you will find it really fast.

I don't know if it is still there, but there was an internet phone just outside Olivia's in the foyer between Olivia's and the General Store.

We used the 'puters over at the Contemporary business center back when we got stranded by Charlie. I had to process our business payroll (gotta pay the employees!!!!!) We charged $10 (per hour) to our OKW room ID.

Here is the picture Beca is talking about. They do look like old PC's that might just run computer games, but it's worth asking about. These computers are located at Community Hall. Picture courtsey of allearsnet.com

Those 'puters in the pic are just for gaming, no internet access.

This board is amazing. :D I'm only away for an hour and I get all this help - thank you.

LOL Beca, I can't believe you watched all that way!! Maybe, when we FINALLY get broadband in a few days, I might give it a go. Up till now I've got bored after waiting for just a couple of pictures. Good idea to go backwards, though!!:teeth:

It's a payphone with a screen and keyboard attached to it. You need a credit card to access it and make it work. sorry about the lack of description.

We fed it one dollar bills in January :teeth: Access is slow, but works in a pinch if you only need to check email. (This was at OKW - outside of Olivia's)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I just got back Friday and ALL of the internet phones have been removed. My DD was so bummed, as she is a typical teen and likes to check in periodically on her email.

I'm not as bad as she is, but I too like to check my email at least once when I am gone. We knew where all the internet phones were in each park, they had them in a few places in Epcot and MK as well as all the deluxe resorts I stayed in, including BWV. None were there any more.

Can't say for sure if they were at OKW, but since they are gone everywhere else I imagine if they had them there they are gone now too. They were in all the places I mentioned above when I visited in May, but since that time they have been taken away.

I asked why and I never got a really good answer. I was told they had to be used standing up and people didn't like that. That seemed like a lame excuse, as they were low enough that if you used a chair you'd be fine--in fact we did just that when we used to stay at the poly, pulled over a chair from the lobby so we could be comfortable (and yes we put it back when we were done!). I find it hard to believe, as I think most people would be happier to stand for 5-10 minutes at a reasonable cost rather than sit for an outrageous fee.

We were able to get on at BWV by going to the convention center, but as someone already said it's ridiculously pricey--$10/15 minutes. The internet phone thingies were much not only more reasonable, since they had various locations they were a great convenience too, and we (especially DD) were extremely disappointed to see they had all been removed.

The contemp Business Center charged $10/hour? Wow BW business center was $10/15 minutes. Are you sure? We'll definitely stop there next time if so.
