I just called to make a reservation for the $99 coupon offer (my family and I were on a 7-night cruise in January). Since DH can't get time off in the fall, I convinced a friend of mine to go with me.
When I called Disney Cruise Line just now to book the reservation, I was told *I* could have the $99 rate but that my friend would have to pay $599 (and that the $599 was a good discount).

Is this right? Only the passengers who were on the January cruises get the $99 rate?

My husband is not going on the return $99 cruise, and my best friend and i are going instead. She has never cruised before, and we made our reservations the third week of January and paid. She pays the same price i do because we are in the same state room.

I would definetly call and talk to someone else!!! The $99 is good for the number of people originally booked. Just one original person has to be sailing too.

Nope, that's not right.

It clearly states on the voucher itself that 'at least one person from the January Cruise be present on the fall cruise'.

It does not say that only people that were on the January cruise can take advantage of the offer. You also can't have more than the number of people that cruised in January.

If your friend wants a separate cabin that would be closer to reality, but if your friend is staying in the same cabin, the $99 rate is appropriate.

Albiats is correct,

As long as you do not exceed the # of people from the January sailing (and at least on person from the january sailing is in the room) it does not matter who you bring with you...

If you and your DH sailed in January but DH can't sail again you Can in fact bring your frined with you in his place for the $99 (plus tax) rate. Call back, speak to someone else, they must have just been misinformed.

Okay, guys, here's the good news update --
I took your advice, called Disney Cruise Line back & got ahold of a very nice, well informed agent...who booked both my friend and I for the advertised $99 each (+ port charges).

Thanks for your quick and helpful info!

(Although when I called my friend to give her the good news, I did tell her I thought she should share her windfall $500 savings with me....After all, I got the price of her cruise down from $599 to $99. I told her I'd only take half as my "fee". Alas, she did not agree.)

Thanks again.

HOORAY!!!! Glad to hear you were successful. Maybe your friend could treat you to a nice spa treatment.
