I like in and out, I to order my burger annd fries animal style . I do agree that it’s best eaten at the restaurant as cold fries are never good.

We have a tradition that as soon as we have picked our rental car up at LAX, our first stop is the In n Out near the airport, to have a delicious lunch before the drive to Disneyland.

I go the opposite direction on the fries and started getting them light. Though next time I am going to ask them to be done between light and regular. Before I learned of asking for them light I would just skip the fries all together.

Don't get your hopes up too high. I feel like the only people who rave about In n Out are people who live in the area.

I completely agree! Seems my friends who were born and raised in CA love In n Out, but those like me who are transplants are not fans at all. I much prefer burgers at The Habit.

Oh no - well-done is definitely the way to go! It works on any fries really, but places in SoCal will actually do it for you, so I always make it a point when I am out there.

Outlets at Orange opened late last year. Euclid opened earlier this year and State College opened a decade ago. That said, all INO locations are usually in pristine condition.

Outlets at Orange will yield the most pleasing experience for a tourist.

I had a rental car a few years ago and drove to some In and Out that I'm embarrassed to say I cannot remember now. It didn't seem all that wonderful to me. I mainly went there out of curiosity as a visitor from a land with zero locations (like many other tourists). In my opinion the Shakey's Pizza just north of DL is a far better option.

Sure X burger is better...and your adding on 7-10 bucks more per meal.

I hope you enjoy it for there price, no other burger compares also make sure to ask for extra secret sauce to dip your fries in or add to your burger

There are a lot of burgers out there I would pick over In N Out, but when comparing value and taste, I think In N Out is pretty good. Maybe not as amazing as some say, but above average for sure.

If you find microwaved burgers from JITB and take-and-bake pizza from Shakey’s to be good… well, I’m not surprised you don’t appreciate INO.

Next time you’re in the area, AM/PM (at most ARCO gas stations) had microwaved burgers and pizza - check them out!

My kids watch these TikTok videos about random way to order things. Some burger that is between 2 grilled onion slices is a must get on our upcoming adventure, per my DLD. I just get a dbl/dbl and vanilla shake. Fantastic info!! thanks kindly!!

Not quite lol. I just find the regular fries to be very dry. When they are light, they are just not fried as long. I know some find them soggy or oily and they are comparatively but still an improvement, IMO. In & Out fries kind of remind me of these:

We have In-N-Out here in Dallas but it just doesn't hit the same like it does when I'm in Southern California. And for those saying it's overrated and only locals like it, there are 43 locations here in Texas now and if you drive by any of them, in a land with Texas originals like Whataburger, they are always packed with long drive-thru lines.
